The Trooper, Hallowed be Thy Name and Aces High in a long-awaited new Iron Maiden's Medley.
It took me a lot of time to publish this new material since we had an epic year full of concerts but it is time now to show you what we were working on through the last year. This Epic Medley is opening the 2020 season of this music channel. Stay on for we will consistently upload a new video every week.
Needless to say, it was magical to work on these songs adapting carefully every passage to the orchestra, sometimes transforming the nature of the original musical idea, sometimes making a thoughtful effort to make it bigger.
Thanks to Iron Maiden for being such a great inspiration.

This is absolute conclusive proof (not that it was needed) that Maiden's music would blend perfectly with a symphony. I wish Maiden would do full symphony show like Metallica did with S&M

The impressive young orchestra you are watching is the "Orquesta Sinfónica de Chancay" which was founded by its conductor Javier Fernandez Prada in the province of Chancay close to Lima - Perú. It is a wonderful example of how the new generations of classical musicians can be exposed to popular music proving that well-written metal music such as Iron Maiden's will transcend its time and genre. Maidens music is pure perfection, it takes so much effort and practice I'd imagine for this symphony to coordinate everyone's timing and everyone's structure and parts, such great talents.

Metall is the modern classic . In 200 years are maiden, emperor, led zepp, deep purple and a lot of other great bands between grieg,mozart,bethoven and the other great genius.
That's what I always say, nothing done in the last 70 years is more worthy to be played again and again. Only legit musical theatre comes close.

I think the mix of the different styles is amazing and it sounds great! Also I think last time Iron Maiden you didn't have a choir, it sounded nice!
Hahaha. If you didn't notice it is because the transition was well written, it just flows. Yes we are using choir now, it increases the epicness.

i honestly wasnt sure what to think when i clicked in. ive heard many do this kind of thing and ... generally not so well. but this... expectatons blown away. THIS is what symphic rock was always ment to be. complex elements intervoven with perfection. the band and choir were the real selling points that made it something extremely special imo.

This is amazing, however, there's a slight detail that I don´t like: Playing a Maiden song in the Bass using a pick? You have to get those fingers moving! pick = lazy xD

Honestly I'm more bothered by the bassist and guitarist running around like rock stars. It's distracting. As far as the bass player's pick technique, in this case I'd let it be as the bass isn't holding down the bottom end by itself like Mr. Harris does. Here it blends in with the orchestra well. Plus it's a Fender P-Bass like Mr. Harris uses. Sounded great to me.
Sterling Crockett I totally agree with you, the bass sounds great, but it's just that slight detail. However, I think that the guitarist and bassist running around gives it a different feel, because it's not normal
@@joaopaixao5499 Not in a symphonic performance, that's for sure. It's a great performance all the same. Before the joints in my hands got to the point I could no longer play, I used my fingers to pluck the flatwound strings. Sounded much better that way IMO, though I was never much good.
