@@JayForsure meh, they were both a little different and a little off. I think the act of the photo with the dad was cute. That's all I found to be adorable. Bexause if he was ugly he'd have been a stalker, and this had been a horror movie. Becsuse women have shallow ass tendencies too. Still cute that he did the picture thing. Still cute that he cared about her. I mean they ran into eachothwr more than he went looking for her. I dunno. I have mixed feelings.

This story is so sweet but creepy at the same time. I know his intentions are innocent but he was still stalking her for a good while.
The guy did realize he was being creepy at the end, he cried at the end of the movie after facing the girl and knowing what he did to her and to the others while the time stopped. He was also hit by a truck and got crippled getting his karma. basically he was the villain and the hero in this movie.
The song at the end "I started a Joke" was also for him.
if you wanna see a crazy film go watch Love Exposure it's a Japanese film. It's so weird.
He didn't exactly stalk her, if you pay attention, you see that they kept running into each other over and over again, only to then loose each other, because she is moving too fast (and he too slow). If she or he would be normal it's pretty safe to say, given their connection they would've already hit it off.

A lot of people see this movie as “cute and wholesome” and other people see it as “creepy.” I’m somewhere in between because I can sort of see both sides. If you take the film literally, then yes, it is absolutely creepy that he is stalking her, photographing her without consent, kidnapping, etc. But to me, especially because of the supernatural time elements of this movie, I think the plot is meant to be taken more figuratively. It’s really about two lovers whose timing never quite matched up. One is “too fast” while the other is “too slow.” They both have love for one another, but due to their individual life circumstances, they never really matched up and keep missing each other. She basically ignores/doesn’t see him for who he really is for most of the movie, while he is obsessed with her but has to finally accept she must not feel the same way and has to say “goodbye” before she even says “hello.” Each person only gets half the story, and so they don’t really understand what the other one is going through or experiencing. It’s why to understand the whole story we as an audience get to see it from both people’s perspectives. And that’s why they cry in the end because their timing finally matched up and they can finally be happy together.
I feel they slightly missed the landing with him being so into her that he keeps finding ways to be round her, but never speaks to her. He is doing what we call stalking but its not in a creepy way and that confuses the issue. I think sometimes people dont think through the implications of what someone is doing when they are writing from inside the characters head with good intentions.
@@dorianleakey I agree this does come off creepy. I wish they gave an excuse or reason why he didn’t just strike up a conversation and try to “shoot his shot” as they say. This would make the story more compelling if he had a reason he didn’t feel he could tell her the truth about how he felt for her.

A former friend of mine married her stalker. She sees no issue with it. She claims it was "cute." I'm still a little freaked out by it to this day, and it's been like 15 years. This movie makes me feel the same way. It's hella creepy and I'm not sure why anyone would claim it's "cute."

I get the guy saved her in many ways, but he also stalked her, basically kidnapped her and a bunch of other people, forced her body to do different things with him no matter how innocent and was on the verge of taking advantage of her (the kiss) all while she was basically unconscious and would have no recollection of the event. I was glad that she didn’t lose all her money to that jerk but a lot of it made me uncomfortable. It would have felt the same if the gender roles were reversed too.

Omg I was thinking the same thing. He was a creepy stalker. Went inside her place without permission and she doesn't even know. It's all so creepy. Also, took pix of her and her father(who abandoned her and was thinking of selfishly ending his life by leaving her waiting) and someone said it was sweet for them to take the picture! How? The guy doesn't deserve to even stand near her, he never even told them if he was alive. Maybe her interest in a taken man and stalker(I guess she didn't actually know that part) comes from the fact that she has daddy issues. The stalker is worst than a cheater, cause those are not just dishonest, they are also not okay in the head.

I missed a few days out of my life. Went to bed on monday and woke up on Thursday. I woke up and entire family members looked at me like I was a ghost.
They said they tried to wake me up several times and thought I was just sick so they left me alone.
When I did wake up I thought it was early morning as it was night but the time was 8pm. I should say I did wake up with a real bad headache.

Same happened to me I had flu by the time and had the weirdest dreams I have ever had in my life.

So I get sorta trapped in a cycle of thinking I "woke up" and was able to move, yet that's obviously not the case. When I actually wake up though and can move again it feels terrible for a while. Idk if that made any sense 😅

At 7:58 you can see him taking pictures of her before the shady guy shows up ,so don't try to claim he did it for a good reason
Because the intent was innocent. The stalking was clearly something that was not malicious (like when your parents follow you around one time just to make sure that the shady place you are going to is truly safe, sometimes saving your life) and it was eye opening for the guy. Some people would have actually taken advantage of the girl and the time stop but the guy didn't. All he wanted is for her to not miss the frozen day (unknowing she lost one day while he gained one), in an innocent loving lucky way.
Ikr, he could've just said like "Hi, it's me! Let's go for a walk at the beach?", and credits roll lol
Culture difference may apply here. American ideal of dating and *Taiwanese ideals can vary wildly. I, and likely most other people, see the intent of the movie producer. Let's not turn everything ugly; especially foreign films since that's pretty xenophobic.

Time wasn’t frozen though, only people. That is why A-Tie was able to interact with the balloons, the bike, the bus, etc. He even drove the bus to her home when the Sun was setting.
