      Funny you mentioned that. I have the girl truck in the air as I type this doing an oil change and tire rotation. I'm 5'8" the lift is a little over half way. I just used a step stoll to reach the oil filter. Thanks for commenting!

      @@mickeyj4228 Preciate you making this video. Could you tell me the lift floor dimensions?. I have lower cars and would be convenient to recessed the floor so the runway is flush with the garage floor. I can see me walking into those ramps 🤣

      Thank you for your comment. I walked out and took measurements for you to verify the information on the advantage lifts web site. "Floor space footprint" L215"XW129". My measurement for the width was 1/4" wider. This is from the outside of the floor plates. I also measured my ramps length is 37" and height is 6". On the advantage lifts website under lift accessories, they sell 48" long aluminum ramps for lower cars. "The 48" approach ramps are best for low riding cars with under 4" of clearance to prevent scraping." I hope this helps.

      @@mickeyj4228 Thank you! thats a blessing. Didnt know about the sports ramps but I'm going the minimalistic route less stuff. Trying to stay organized is my downfall every time. New subscriber, if you make more content I'll be watching day dreaming.

    This is so much faster. Does advantage give this 220v option for all their lifts.

    • @mickeyj4228
      @mickeyj4228  Před 9 měsíci +1

      Not to my knowledge. I think many folks would pay for this upgrade. The 220V motor is standard on the SS-11000-WD. Thank you for your comment and Happy Thanksgiving!

      @@mickeyj4228 Ya if they have the 220v for the other model it should be an easy upgrade at purchase.

    Hi! If you were to push on one of the post, is there very much side to side play with a vehicle on it? Or is it very stiff as they claim?

    • @mickeyj4228
      @mickeyj4228  Před 23 dny

      @stratoslice Thanks for your comment! There is no movement. I've needed to use a ladder to climb into my 2500 RAM while it was lifted. Zero movement.

    Sounds like the latches aren’t engaging together

      Thank you for your comment. I believe I adjusted the locks sometime after this video and one lock may have been 1/4 inch off. Just went and listened to the video again, they are very close. I didn't hear a "click, clack". Definitely not far enough out to be a safety issue. I make it a habit to go well past the lock hole before lowering onto the locks. Paying close attention to how the lift settles onto the locks is also a sign you may need to adjust them.

    Those don't look like the rubber pads under the legs that Advantage sells. What did you use? I was thinking of 3/4 inch rubber stall mat.

    • @mickeyj4228
      @mickeyj4228  Před rokem

      They are 1/4 inch hard rubber matt scraps from a 6ftX12ft sheet that I've had for 20+ years. I also park my motorhome tires on two 2ftX10ft pieces. This was the original purpose.
