    The Paul Rodriguez scenes in “Born in East L. A.” Are the best. To this day, when some asks for a “Tall Boy”, I always raise it up like he did to the Jesus picture and do his walk. “Un Tall boy”!

    Dirt Bike Kid, I watched this movie so much, I broke 2 tapes. The soundtrack for a little B movie was also really good, its a shame they never released it.

    Here's a forgotten gem from the 80s: Dolls (1987), it's a horror film about a bunch of dolls that come to life and kill people who are wrong-doers, it was made by the same people who did Re-Animator and From Beyond but this film is VERY unlike those films, it manages to be creepy and gory but have a kinda wholesomeness to it in a dark twisted way

    The Hidden was a favorite of mine and my buddies. We wore out the VHS tape. The dark humor had us in stitches and then there was the awesome soundtrack. "I like your car. Give me the keys."

      Totally! We all watched it a ton too, a great blend of dark humor, action, sci-fi, and spectacle all rolled into one. Another movie I always liked was I Come in Peace! A drug dealing alien who kills with cd's...amazing!

      That's awesome, we use to have a small second run theater where movies would go after a few weeks in the big theaters, tickets were like $4 and I saw countless movies there!

    my neighbors in the 80s owned a local movie store and my mother worked for them. we got to see lots of movies but one of their kids favorites was the dirtbike kid. it has been forever since i seen but such fond memories.

    Love this video almost all those movies are totally worth watching only ones. I haven’t seen our FX shoot to kill and run away, but I’m definitely gonna check them out now and also just have to say I recently watched real men for the first time and man did I enjoy it I was laughing so much watching it

    The Hidden, F/X, Deep Star Six, Real Men, Disorderlies, and Runaway are going on my ever growing to-watch list.
    I love Shoot To Kill (or Deadly Pursuit as it's known here in England). I first saw it randomly, i was just channel-hopping when i was 11 or 12, so early 90s it might have been it's UK premiere. It was just about to start, i watched in my bedroom and really enjoyed it. I made a point to buy it later.

    Perhaps not a deep sleeper on this side of the Atlantic, but 'The Company of Wolves' absolutely holds up....the blending of a seemingly relatively innocent fantasy Red Riding Hood allegory with then profound elements of terror and haunting imagery and music, perfect for giving the young ones nightmares. Good times to grow up. The director, Neil Jordan went onto make the Crying Game, Interview with a Vampire, if that says anything.

    Dude! Every single one of these movies are my personal favorites (except the dirt bike one- I’ve never seen it). But man, you touched on some heavy nostalgia for me. I am going to rewatch FX and The Hidden today because of this video. And hahaha at the memory of Sidney Portier and the bear!

    Was a kid of the 80's and only remember or knew of 3 of those: Harry Crumb (classic John Candy), East L.A. (saw it at the cinema plus had the 7 inch LP single of its title song!), and F/X (with Bryan Brown being a local here it used to air on TV once a year).

    I really enjoyed The Hidden and Harry Crumb. Thank you for the reminder. I'll have to watch both again soon. I'm curious to see if they hold up. Doin' Time is a zany Airplane-like comedy set in a prison. And Lunch Wagon is more than just a teen sex comedy. I recommend both if you haven't already seen them.

      The robots in Runaway were well done for the time. I highly recommend Shoot to Kill and The Hidden. Both are quality movies.

      Gotta love the painful memories on the mtns bro, I cracked a couple ribs back in 07 at Mammoth. Hurt like hell, I just went limp and let gravity take me the rest of the way down the run. Rest of the trip was heavy meds and basic cable on the couch!
