Just what I was looking for! I really want the USDM aero guards but also want the OEM spats so that the look could be even around the entire car. These are perfect for those that want both!
Hey man, how did you get that small yellow vinyl on the front of your headlights? Did you buy yellow laminex and DIY or did can you buy them pre cut ready to install? I like the look just right there on the corner and not the entire light.
ronfromportland that’s fair, I had rally armor on a Wrx and noticed it caused a very small decrease in fuel economy. On my Sti I put the cs style lip, sideskirts , and spats and had a similar decrease in fuel economy in my Sti. I figured adding both would make it worse. Styling wise it looks good but I think it adds drag more than anything else.
@@lucian7182 good to know man! Crazy how much of an impact they have on the MPG. I got them mainly to protect against pebbles but they really do their job since I run Pilot Spot 4S’s and these tires pick up all sorts of debris.
Great video! I just put the USDM aero guards on my WRX. Too bad Bayson R seems to not ship to Hawaiʻi 😫. Side question, how did you get the Rally Armor mudflaps over the aero guards? I understand the bracket holding them on needs to be modified so the mudflap bracket can install...
Ah, that’s a bummer but I’d gladly give up the spats to live in Hawaii! 😂 I’ve had the mudflaps installed with the aero guards for a while so I don’t completely remember but I can almost guarantee I didn’t modify the brackets to be able to get them to work together. I think it was a matter of just lining up the holes to be able to get the screws through. Good luck!
Thanks man! It was super easy! Just had to make sure that the bracket for the mud flaps was lined up, I didn’t have to make any additional holes or anything.
Mine arrived super glossy does not match any of the other aero parts that came on my STI. Any suggestions on how to get it to match the factory parts better
Dang, are you positive they’re the CS style from Bayson r? I would think they only made them in matte. Are they noticeable thicker than the oem side skirts? I have the jdm rear splash guards and have been looking for a rear spat that matches the oem side skirt.

Generic yellow film from ebay and I just cut multiple pieces until I was satisfied with one.

Wouldn’t the mudflaps kind of mess with the aerodynamics of the side skirts and spats ?
On a race car, yes. On a daily driver, it doesn’t and shouldn’t really matter. Just my opinion though!

Not at all, at least in my opinion! The spats don't "overpower" the side skirts and I got these ones mainly for that reason.
