Gosh, I was there; still have the photos. I was 15. Those were the days when the Dutch Starfighters flew on reheat over the crowd. It was the loudest thing I heard. Thanks for the memory. 2 or 3 years later David Cyster and his Tiger Moth was there after his Australia solo flight. Mr Blue Sky was the song used by BBC Nationwide to cover the trip.
Lots of different planes...Now only a few. Thanks for sharing
That a f1-11 aardvark with bi centenary markings ?
Was very proud of myself i could identify every aircraft and mark as they appeared
Love the videos but started watching for the soundtrack now ...👍
Incredible era for the military aviation enthusiast. Brilliant video 👏🏻
Excellent film, good music choice.
When you can’t give us the original aircraft sounds you give us the great music 👍🏼 many thanks again, Ian
I arrived on 43 April '76.......that was my first show at Leuchars. The 43 Toom, "S", was that XV475, my memory is a bit fuzzy all these years on.
Sitting here with a huge grin on my face , brilliant film of a time that seems so long ago there days !
F111 spirt of 76 and a great choice of music was making my own noise as the Phantom rattled down the runway
Great stuff. Takes me back to my youth going through William Green's Observer's Book of Aircraft, learning the details of all these classic planes.
My first Leuchars airshow was in 1995. Went every year till it closed. Would have loved to have seen all these different types.
I went to Leuchars all through the 70’s and can’t ever remember seeing a F104 ,funny how the mind plays tricks...was that an F5 aka Top Gun Mig 28...👍
Excellent video I miss the number of different types .Meanwhile think you are doing the modern generation a disservice they are a lot more clued up than you give them credit for
ELO.....Very apt
