Thank you for sharing this excellent footage. Fascinating to see 43 Squadron showing it's non RAF standard F4K/FGA1 Phantoms. Nicely put to music. If I have one gripe, and it is a small one, it's with the rather condescending print at the beginning. Anyone of the "iPhone generation" who took the time to watch this video would surely be aware of the limitations on cine photography in the sixties. It in no way detracts from the video.
Thank you for your comments. The "iPhone generation" notice was a reaction to comments on other videos I posted which went along the lines of, 'we want to hear the engine noise not rubbish music'. Clearly there are some who don't understand that most home movies in the sixties didn't come with sound and certainly don't have a clue what's involved in getting a strip of celluloid 300 feet long with thousands of tiny 4.5 x 3.5 mm images into a digital format. Glad you appreciate the effort. A case of damned if you do and damned if you don't!
I was at that show on a school trip. Great memories.

@@foxonefour I've watched this many times now and really enjoy it. A gem. Definitely a time capsule. Thank you.
I had just passed my exams and fast jet training to become a trainee on 226OCU as a lightning pilot
Great stuff. This and the Lightning films are excellent. Thanks for uploading.
Great video , thanks. Hastings TG553 ended up on the fire dump at RAF Fairford in about 1974
Subbed ,this footage is amazing...👍
0:15 I see 11 Squadron’s twin eagle insignia on the hangar.
Was that a gannet at 1.45...
Yes. Fairey Gannet AEW3 from Brawdy.
