A great reminder of Airshows and music of my younger days. Wonderful! With fewer flight restrictions on the displays too.

I was probably at the 1969 show, aged 9. These annual shows at Lossie were a highlight of my childhood. Fantastic to see this, so many years later.

I was five and can still smell 1966. Evocative and full of hope.

I was there in 69 ...at Lossie High School the class, in primary 5, was split into 4 groups named after FAA aircraft ...I was in the Buccaneer's.
Mrs Britten was the teacher and her husband worked on the base.

Thank you so much! I was there for both air days... I was 5 in 66! Great memories of sitting on the pil box at the end of the runway!

We used to travel over from RAF Kinloss which had Shackletons based there that our fathers flew in.

I was there on that day in 1969, it still remains one of the best days of my life. The Vulvcan flew low over the crowd to start its display. Happy memories and thanks for sharing.

My dear father was SATCO at Lossiemouth. We lived in a married quarter at Milltown and regularly circuits and bumps for breakfast!

So many great aircraft always liked the RN 892 Phantoms that flew from Ark Royal.

Yep, was there too, those were indeed the days all right, not much beats the old Vulcan taking off and barrel-rolling from 05-23 on its way back home.. pity not a little bit more film of everyone there, might have seen a quick clip of me as a little innocent teenager !!

Brilliant! Flew my wee student Bulldog there in 1989, can't remember much about the week thanks to the 'scruffs' bar and insanely cheap drink prices!

10:11 When I was a boy I built this same Spitfire XIV & the V1 from a FROG kit. Very primitive kit, but when you're 8, you don't care.

Brilliant. Thanks for sharing. Some fabulous types there, and some bloody ugly ones (Sea Vixen?). The view from the 23 threshold is still the same more than 50 years on, including the broom!! Thanks again, much appreciated.

Has the RN got a true air arm anymore? I notice that (apart from the helicopters) the jets on the Queen Elizabeth carrier are actually RAF. (UK)
