Is Boudica + YSG the answer to Pakal + Harald in KVK? In this video I talk about why I think it is a very strong counter-march and show a couple of battle reports from our last KVK.

The Pakal Herald cheeseburger is to pop in and out quickly. Not take the whole fight and die like they did. Also, only works well when more than one march targets it.

Pakal Harald is not supposed to be solo marches. It is only strong when it get swarmed by 5 marches. When solo-ing, a lot of marches can beat it ass, including both cav and infantry marches.

Interesting. The other comment says basically the opposite. That is, it says "report is bad because it was swarmed" whereas you are saying it does better when swarmed. In these clips the march was swarmed.

@@PsychOutROK both are true. It does best when it got swarmed before it get to yellow. What you do is once you get to 50% hp you run and stop taking swarm.
If u get swarmed when you are below 50% then you will take bad trades even before these prime commander released (unless you have the best equipments and they have low tech and bad equip).
That is how you get positive trades from the beginning with this pair, always have been.
Realistically, that is always the correct way to play Pakal Harald in city poping and swarm: let enemy swarm you when u are full but do not stay with low hp to dead, if u want those good reports.

@@tuanseattle In principle I agree: no march is ever going to trade well when yellow/red (i.e., it has low troops). My point is that boudica/ysg does exceptionally well against this march. Can other marches do well? Sure. Will pakal/harald do poorly if you run it to sad face? Sure. But with boudica/ysg you can often get to your skill quickly, which is it's real advantage against pakal/harald.
