We know from Shadowlands lore that there is a Dreadlord in EVERY cosmic force that is a spy and works to undermine that force.
Power wise, he’s the weakest. He makes up for in cunning and being the Tzeentch of Warcraft.
Weirdly, I think asmongolds best content is just him discussing lore.

@@IrishBiteGirl He commented on the reaction of the faction leaders ranking that he missed some feats of strength from Malfurion that would've place them higher cuz he still didn't read the book the described them. Still, I assume he didn't care much it If he didn't even bother looking into it.

a lot of Tyrande and Malf's power in lore happened in The War of The Ancients and 10k prior to Warcraft, let alone World of Warcraft which the video was based on.

The only reason Deathwing wasn't damaged by the other Aspects teaming up in the books was because they had all given up their power to create the dragonsoul, leaving them all much weaker than Deathwing. As soon as the soul was destroyed and their power returned to them, Alexstraza owned the shit out of him, not even really needing the help of Time boy's sands. Deathwing was scared as hell of her and tried to run.
I would have put the Lich King on this list for one reason. Besides Argus, he is the only boss to have canonically killed the players. He is one of the only two bosses to have actually WON, only for outside help to aid the players.
Yes but that’s more context than actual power. Power wise, he’s probably about the same level as Azshara, and could have been 10 on this list. He’s got nothing on the Old Gods or Deathwing or the Titans and Titan Keepers.
@@nevermore7285 Also, even thought the players were still super powered psycohpaths, they were no where near as strong as they were in BFA. Players have gotten way stronger over the expansion as their stories have continued.
Also, Azshara was powered down compared to her original lore self in the game. This chick was at the middle of the damn sundering and was able to resist the explosion with her magic alone. Not just saving her, but her followers as well. And she held her barrier for a long damn time, long enough for N'Zoth to penetrate her mind. By the time we face her, it's like Blizzard realized how powerful she actually should have been and decided to scale her down. So I don't think LK could hold a candle to the most powerful mage to have existed before the guardians. I honestly believe Azshara should be on the list instead of Al'Akir.

In lore (WC2+WC3+TFT) aka pre-retcons he was post fusion literally at a level to solo the legion if need be.
Frostmourne, Plate and Helm were made from the powers of the universes most powerful artifacts (including that of Sargy himself). Frostmourne when killed on successful hit (including demons) with with the magic of the strongest necro and top 5-10 shamans+warlocks along with demonic psionic/mental powers that are continent wide, only now no longer stuck in TN ice unable to move/having to do everything via proxies. He quite literally ascended to divinity during the "now we are one" line. Blizz retconning the aspects roles, how demons work, legion in general, forgotten ones+old gods and LK (including his prior bits in terms of Arthas and poor Nerzhul) during WOTLK doesnt change that in canon proper (since death of the author deligates all of WOW to effectively glorified fanfiction/you cant change context of something that was already released by saying after the fact uhm aktschually we intended it this way) he would be at worst number 3 on the list (titans still take the cake but much like pre retcon aspects the fact he technically wielded a massive chunk of the power Sargy lost reforged to create the initial artifacts of real necromancy rather than just soul manipulation).

There's one 5 man dungeon boss that would probably get to #7-6 on this list if he was a raid boss. Murmur.
I'm also surprised Algalon wasn't on this list.
Azshara was considered as powerful as Archimonde and Kiljaeden BEFORE her transformation and power gain of Nzoth by the strongest demon below Archimonde and KJ, the pit lord leader Mannoroth. There is no way in hell she is weaker than Archi/Kj after her transformation. She literally ruled Azeroth by herself before she fucked up.

Deathwing does get pancaked but he was infused by nzoth right after that’s why he got powered up in the maelstrom

the thing that asmongold doesnt understand about the old gods is that their power can go through any amount of armor or soldiers, even deathwing is susceptable to his mind being corrupted or where the blood slug is concerned, the corona virus

Ghuun was powerful because of the atmosphere he was in when he was fought. By himself i dont think he poses much of a threat and alot of other powerful beings would squash him
As far as lore goes in most expansions (especially the more recent stuff), Legion was FUCK👏ING👏 AMAZ👏ING!

I think the number 10 spot could be debated a little bit between a bunch of characters like Old God infused Garrosh or Azshara or even a few other characters but I do mostly agree with the list.
1st place: Rextroy
Remember in Vanilla original C'thun was mathematically impossible and didn't get killed until he was nerfed

He didn't "defeat" a titan, he suckerpunched a depressed guy who was so apathetic that it took weeks before he even acknowledged lei shin was even talking to him.

@Azahel 452 Eh, I would put them around the same level tbh. A lot of people would go in that last slot at almost equal power imo. Archimonde, Azshara, Lich King etc. So I agree, LK isn't 'stronger', but I don't think he's vastly weaker where I would put one over the other. I just chose LK as the 10th name rep.

Arthas proceeded to kick Illidan's ass before he even became LK. We also know that Demon corpses can be brought back to undeath due to Mannaroth in HFC.

I think Deathwing should have been above G'huun. G'huun can't destroy the entire planet and is nowhere near as powerful.
G’Huun was an Old God, a artificial and very weak one, but still an Old God and could corrupt the entire planet like the rest of them. That would not have gone well for Deathwing.

Relax people. Neltharion was literally made to kill Old Gods. This is why they had to corrupt him instead of outright destroying. The Old Gods on Azeroth are the most powerful things. Sargeras decided that it would be better to destroy the entire planet instead of just beating the old gods. Which he in fact did.

Closest thing we have to Sargeras as a raid boss is the Fallen Avatar from the Tomb of Sargeras. I’m surprised he wasn’t on the list at all.

Shadowlands was full of retcons so I doubt it. The Jailer could arguably be on the list since before the release of Shadowlands Blizzard said he has “titan ++ power”, but Blizzard wrote him so poorly that people would rather forget about him. Also we barely know much about the Dragonflight raid bosses to know for sure of any of them would make it on the list.
At this point where do the bosses in shadowlands stand. I haven't followed the story since the 1st raid so I don't know.

Deathwing is literally 3 tiers below an Old God. Remember the Titans created the Keepers who in turn created the dragon aspects. He's not as powerful. He's not more powerful than the elemental lords, outside of the powerup he got from them. So by that alone G'huun by definition should be a tier above Deathwing alone.

@@Otakahunt The Old Gods were not weakened when they were fighting the Titan Keepers. With that being said, A single Old God was stronger than a single Titan Keeper, hence why they paired up to defeat each one.
Remember, the reason why the Titan Keepers were created to battle the Old Gods was simply because actually too big to fight on the planet and they would literally destroy it so they made the Titan Keepers to do it for them. The Strongest Old God was literally yanked out of the planet and destroyed with little to no effort whatsoever but it damaged the planet and that's why they made smaller figures in their image to defeat them and imprison them for all eternity.

At least from the game I also find it very hard to believe that G'huun is even close to Deathwing's power level. His overall threat may be higher considering he's able to mind control people within his area of influence.
I'd say it's even questionable whether or not N'Zoth is stronger than Deathwing. His main strength seems to lie in manipulation, being strong enough to corrupt a dragon aspect.
