Sounds like a great event!
I am confident it’s going to be amazing. Are you planing to come along?
Awesome video guys.
Great to have some clear idea of the event so early and your rationale behind some of these decisions.
Ticket brought already! Roll on September and the fields of glory!!
Great to have you on board OJ. We aim to be as transparent as possible with all the decision making.
I understand the maybe more time needed for Winds, but ending a four round day with missions is definitely one way to weed out the non contenders! lol This series is great, congrats guys.
Hey Karl! Great to see you here.
Yeah we did talk about moving it earlier for that reason. But it made sense that we have the flexibility to overrun on that particular round if needed. Hopefully the easier three rounds prior will leave our generals high on energy and bloodthirsty! 😂
Thanks for the kind words. We have a couple of awesome series to loop into this as well. So keep them peeled 😊
chess clocks should be the standard for any middle to high end tournament. The most fair time management system that there is.
Although I agree to a certain extent. It has proven to put players off. And this event is about growing the community. If I was confident everyone would be comfortable and everyone would be ok with using them and there was perhaps an industry standard that the clocks would be utilised to I would feel more comfortable.
Games will finish at time, and games will be done fairly. We have chosen to not use clocks on this particular event. But it’s something we will look at and continually weigh up for future events. 😊
I’ve never been to a tournament of any kind. But I adore this game. Is this event for me or am I gonna get destroyed and made fun of? 😅
Hey! Thanks for the comment! I can guarantee you, the fantastic LGT song community has very few unsavoury characters. Most are helpful, most are fun, and all of them love the game. You’d be in a good place to play your first tournament and you’ll have a great time.
I can definitely recommend attending!
I came to the first ASOIAF LGT back in ‘21. It was the first tournament I’ve ever attended and was a bit nervous.
The organisation was clear, the group of people so welcoming.
It led to joining a club that plays regularly and making some friends for life!
Best thing I ever did from a gaming perspective.
I’ve been to every LGT since and will definitely be there this year!
@@O-JTidballthat’s a powerful recommendation OJ. Can’t wait to see you there this year, with your incredibly painted army!
Not having chess clocks is a definite plus. Sadly, I won't be able to attend this year, dates coincide with something else. Shame, it's been a great event over last two years, I'd certainly recommend going if you can...
Ah it’ll be a shame not to have you there Brian. You’ve become part of the furniture!
Date just doesn't work as brought forward onto lads birthday. Normally early Oct not late Sept. Certainly sounds like Grant and James will do a great job...
