    A buddy of mine put a 292 in his Jeep, it was a match made in Heaven. That thing ran and ran with tons of the perfect torque.

    The best part of the video for me is that you were able to go to the senior citizen and work together with him, you can't buy that type of experience, and I bet he was happy to do the work, and pass along some of the knowledge he had.

    Hello from Australia if the valves can hold Kero or diesel for 24 hours and the ports are dry the seal is good an easy test to try

    What brand of sandblaster did u use on 292 u were working on ? It seems to do a good job.

    Cool! I wanna see how you do with that cracked manifold.

    Do you like that sandblasting gun? I'm curious how long it sprays before needing the tank refilled with media.

      It's great for little things and is so handy that I just love using it, esp. at that shop where I don't have a blasting cabinet. I probably get a couple minutes of blasting between refills but with my media handy it takes a pause of probably 15 seconds to refill and then I'm blasting again.

    My dad left behind a 1963 Chevy C-10 and it needs complete frame off restoration. How much do you average charged for frame off restoration?

    • @TheJayhawker
      @TheJayhawker  Před 3 lety

      There are many factors that can affect how much a restoration will cost. The overall condition of the truck, how much rust, how complete it is, whether the engine needs a complete overhaul or not. Then you need to consider upgrades and modifications as well. If you're fine with keeping it all original it will usually take less money than if you're wanting to modify a bunch of things. So it's really hard to put a number on it, but I would expect somewhere between $30,000-$50,000 to pay someone to do it for you.

    Scrapping the crud in German (Kratzen der Crud) sounds amazing, it's wonderful. Got to get the dirty work done! Makes the world a better place!
    If we could only Kratzen der Crud out of world corporate politics, government, and institutions than we could re-establish society based on God's laws again and have unalienable rights again.

      @@TheJayhawker ~ Thank you, goods videos to watch and learn.
      It's time not to consent with the corporate politics, government, and institutions when they violate our God given unalienable rights. Jesus Christ died to set us free from these liars.

    Your caption reminded me of a story from an early reader about the boy who lost in a spelling bee. He said he was caught by a rat, and it stuck with me. Like you, he spelled separate wrong - should have had "a rat" in the middle, not "aret".

    Why not replace valve guides? Knurling them seems sketchy.

    • @TheJayhawker
      @TheJayhawker  Před rokem

      Had to consider the budget and the future use of the vehicle. Knurling is an old school process that will fix the problem for many years considering this truck will only be used occasionally around town. If it eventually starts to burn oil again the valve guides can always be replaced.
