    At least now I know how they sound like when I get my linnie soon (4 or 5 wks from now). Sounds like a cute fire alarm, beep, beep, beep.

    our poor little linnie always gets excited when hearing this little bird. Unfortunately he is alone at the moment, we still have to wait for the 2nd one.

      Get a 2nd one. I'm getting one soon. My parrotlet doesn't play and so I feel sorry for him when he's alone at home. That's why I'm getting a linnie so that he won't get bored.

    Is the higher-pitched sharp/short call their contact call? (e.g. at 1:29-1:34)

    My Linnie makes this noise aswell, what do you think there doing. My Charlie is usually shouting for my son. I thought it was just him that made this noise.

    My plans of getting a parrot has been... well... changed. As you really can't own one when you are driving a truck. It's really annoying because I really love birds... Oh well, I think it's true when they say you can't have everything. :l

      I heard so many quiet linnies they have to be in pairs at least, for them being alone is cruel and they desperately start calling in the hope to find another one of their kind

  • @jennyboone3040
    @jennyboone3040 Před 3 lety

    They are not quiet species by any means and can get quite annoying. I wonder if males are noisier than females, my lutino female is young and I have not had her long enough to see if she is loud. A friend had a green male that was louder than your male, it was this constant ear piercing chirp. I think she rehomed him because she lived in an apartment and they had told her good apartment birds LOL

    • @calicogriffin
      @calicogriffin Před 2 lety

      Screaming can be worked through... but easy way is rehoming. That is why 85% of parrots in US is rehomed... evil people... adopt, not buy!!!!

    • @squaretriangle9208
      @squaretriangle9208 Před rokem

      But certainly due to the fact that he was alone, so constantly calling for a potential partner, parrots are flock animals, so one should get a pair at least!
