- čas přidán 8. 08. 2024
- Hey Everyone,
In this video, I have Harkirat Singh with me, a 2018 Computer Science undergrad from IIT Roorkee. He's been a part of Google's Summer of Code twice and has worked at FAANG, Finance, and Startups over the last 4 years since graduating. He had resigned from Goldmann Sachs just before COVID to explore more opportunities. He made around 80 Lakhs/Yr through freelancing and eventually grabbed a 4Crore/Yr Package as a remote software developer!
As the world has rapidly transitioned to remote work in recent years, software development has emerged as one of the most popular careers for remote workers. In this video, we will explore the reasons behind this trend and the advantages and challenges of remote software development.
Harkirat will discuss the many benefits of remote software development, including the flexibility to work from anywhere, the ability to choose your own schedule, and the potential for increased productivity and work-life balance. We'll also explore the diverse range of teams and clients that you can work with from all over the world, which can help you develop your skills and build a global network of contacts.
However, we will also delve into the challenges that come with remote work, including the need for self-discipline and time management skills, the potential for isolation, and the communication barriers that can arise when working with remote teams.
Throughout this video, Harkirat will share his personal experience and insights, drawing from his years of experience working remotely as a software developer. Whether you're interested in pursuing a career in remote software development or you're already working remotely and want to learn more about how to make the most of your remote work experience, this video is for you!

awesome man, "taking that leap of faith for a 3-month break". thanks for sharing this!

Harkirat and Kunal should do a video together !!
Yes, I am also waiting for that to happen

Harkirat is a really humble guy. It was a great episode.
Bhai ye banda gajab hai. I can hear this guy whole the day long , Literally whole the day long !!! How can someone be so sensible and sorted . I wish I could be half as sorted as you 😎 I really wanna get around such guys just to seek similar smartness .
Thanks for this video. Apparently I'm in the same shoes Harkirat was in 3 years ago. He's a great motivation to me
Leap of faith and I am on a break for almost 3 months but got a lil derailed from the focus and it really motivated me to get started with the courage...Thank you Harkirat
Kuch kiya jindagi mein ya detailed hi hein?
One of the best podcast.. The guest speaker sounds so mature and the viewer remains hooked till end of video.
Really great video...got greater insights🤝
Amazing session ❤
Like always
Great podcast ✨
I totally agree with the work conditions in India. Superiors think they own you and your time. In the US, even if you are a manager, you can never pull rank(never seen it happen except with Indian people who try to bring Indian work culture to the US who are thankfully put in their places).
Love both of you guys !! Such an informative view
One day I will become like you, sir. A bunch of respect and love for you.. ❤🙏
It is great video and thanks for all the very honest view points ❤
I will appreciate ishan's ability of choosing questions. I have seen a lot of podcast regarding this career or industry but this one is different. Its feel like Ishan asking what exactly i wanted to know. He is fabulous.
Fun and informative...Harkirat is the best.
Best and informative 🔥

For the first time J really have a genuine respect towards an IITian, very practical and intelligent and humble as far as he portrayed himself professionally ❤❤.
Hi thanks for sharing!
"KISS YOUR MANGER'S ASS"🤣🤣🤣 You are Savage Dada
His channel is informative, ab sabko pata chal jaega harkirat ke bare mai.
nice information. keep learning and keep growing :)
Very Interesting discussion..
Ah the 4 crore clickbait. Harkirat himself has clarified facts about the whole "4 crore" thing in one of his vids.
The most important thing in today's world is not idea or lack of opportunity or lack of secrets , it's the availability of proper playing field that is lacking . By playing field I mean , the time when you are not bound to act in a certain way ( fixed way ) or free time or the time that you are free from responsibilities , the time can vary from 2 to 3 years , in that time period , Maths will help you , maths ie PROBABILITY , when you take multiple small bets and get rich when one of them hits . May god help you all to find your playing field , some make it early because their parents are in good position to let their child run free in the wild for 2 to 3 years , mainly in college , but that can be anytime in the life . That's my understanding . Hope this helps .
U can feel the level of talk when harkirat speaks..
can you guys explain the tax part of it in detail or point me to some nice place where I can understand
would love to know about that in detail
really liked the discussion being a remote developer myself
I am taking that leap of faith for me...
He is one in a billion literally
Where do we know which company hyped up..?😢
What he said is really true
Harkirat bhai Mohali ko village toh mat bolo yaar 😅
Really humble though and very inspiring!
Harkirat and kunal 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Definitely he is superhuman that he got 4 cr/ annum...from which planet he came??
Remote control to mujhe bhi chalna aata hai... mujhe kisi ne nhi diya 4 caror romote job ka 😢😢😢😢
Working remotely for almost 5 years. So far so good.
I really wish that I could follow through with the Indian language. Seems like lots of great advice was dished out.
No issue. Tell me what you understood from the video. I'll summarize everything that you missed cuz that should have been in Hindi language
there are subtitles , just press CC
jsut give the time stamps i'll translate
@@john_doe_2231 When you turn on subtitles does it translate it for you? It does not from my own end
@@jigarpanchal0 Thanks a lot from "How to choose programming language" downwards. It is quite a lot to translate. I would understand if you are not able to follow through
abhi mein jiska wait kar raha hoon matlab job ka uska package is sai tora zyada hai bus duwa hai kai 2 August tak mil jaye toh maza ajayega ❤
Ishan it would be great if you can add English subtitles for the parts spoken in HIndi
Yeah I watched lots of minutes not understanding too
great pod
What a fabulous Fannku this people are......
He playing this game very well. In future I really wanna work with you
so no one is gonna address the weird thing with the separate frames? just one question , why ?
@harkirat1 What is the third path?
How you applied for remote job in USA , you didn’t mention ? Please share
It would be better with English subtitles... It will be useful for everyone like me who don't know Hindi
Yeah Hindi can't understand
Then don't watch
Me left Bangalore as well during COVID and started working remotely.
finally, real computer science got revealed (great ishan) for bringing real ones like harkirat sir
Ishan can you please the best course to learn web3 and smart contracts etc like in udemy or any other platform , I want to get into them
I would love to get suggestions (would be wonderful if it's based on experience too) on where and how to look for remote jobs? Is it through LinkedIn or some other portal out there? I have just started researching on this so would love to get insights please. Thank you
Ishan please take a interview of a data analyst
Which is best to learn first AI or FULL STACK DEVELOPMENT
based on individual interest i guess.
Mern stack and then go deep into Ai,Ml, DL, Vision, Facial recognition etcccc
@@devadhanushp.7359 thank you 😊
Nobody wants to pay taxes like US/Canada but everyone wants India to be developed like US/Canada.
But if we're working for a US based company remotely then won't t they pay us salary after taxes?? I don't understand on how actually you're avoiding it by forming a company.
Exceptional Cases
But how actually one can avoid taxes? Because even the US company has to pay taxes there even if they hire us remotely, isnt it??
I am quitting Coding Because It's all about money No one teaches you for free🙂🙂

Modi have done a lot to elevate India to world stage now we are getting international exposure and high salary. Modi power 💪
bro living the meme
Everyone is running behind the money. Not realising the what is the impact of the work we are doing ? every one is doing job for their own interst. and this is destroying our planet. I am not against money, i am against mindlessly joining jobs without seeing the large picture.
Relax guys... He is from IIT😆
Couldn't understand , he speaks about Blockchain & Smart Contract which he works but his LinkedIn profiles shows about AI , ML only.
Thanks!
Welcome!
Bhai how did you reached to this statement "There are more downsides than upsides for an IIT degree", this does not make any sense, views ke liye boldo bas, many top companies HRs rejecting candidates just because they are not from any of top colleges.
hmm I think it's about perspective
50000 $ in 3 months????? You kiddin me?????
Hi Ishan, how are you doing?
Watch how someone makes 4cr a year & you are making it next year
What a click bait & shame
Is Btech needed for all this....I think skill matters...
