Koko actually took the devastating tombstone that Hulk claimed he had taken.

Hogan was going to become the Koko B. Ware character, but carrying a bird didn't work for him, brother.

I don’t know why I’m pissing myself laughing here, probably because it’s so ridiculously believable. I bet he called his wife “brother” while they conceived their children, I mean come on, it’s Hulk…🙄

It sucks because number 1 it should've been a good moment for Taker being that it was his first championship win and 2 he wasn't even able to celebrate it with his family because he and his family were probably worried it was going to be their last paycheck. That was super dirty by Hogan and definitely shows his character as a human.
Hogan's a piece of garbage. I'm glad that everybody knows that now. I adored him as a child - I cried with joy when he beat Savage at Mania V - but now as an adult I feel almost taken advantage of. I'm glad that there are people like Taker who are decent human beings.

@@Nicktophobia
Same thing happened with Jake Roberts when they tried to make a big feud with him and Hulk. The crowd started cheering "DDT! DDT! DDT!" during the few matches him and Hulk had and Vince pulled the plug.
I don’t think it was cause undertaker got a bigger pop it was more like his relationship with Vince was becoming strained so he shafted Vince by shafting undertaker same happened with Bret later, it wasn’t really about wrestling Bret he just didn’t wanna do Vince anymore favours after warrior. He basically fucked over others by fucking Vince over. Petty but this is hogan we’re taking about.
Hogan pulled the same thing with the rock! Acting like The Rock hurt him with the rock bottom.
@Ishbikes I'm just so glad that Hogan never defeated The Rock 🪨 one on one and on PPV.
It’s clear Hogan felt threatened by the Undertaker this early in his career, and did not like having to drop the belt to him.
He knew he was getting the belt back.
Taker is working the interviewees - he knew he was dropping the belt the next Tuesday already. That was already discussed backstage.

that ohhhhhhh and folding him up like a cheap card table had me in tears 😂😂😂😂😂
That and "And then you were gonna take him to the lot & beat the sh*t out of him!?" 💀
Taker is the sort of guy i would buy a beer without hesitation if he said he was thirsty. It is absolutely crystal from both his in ring work and his interviews etc, that he has too much respect for himself and everyone else to be anything other than awesome! He has class, and a real gentleman is inside that deadman exterior facade that we see in ring, a true performer and gave his all.
At least among my generation and doubtless many more, Taker will be remembered as one of, if not the greatest of all time, and i can say i bet he had a tremendously positive impact in the locker room in terms of setting a fine example to up and coming talent on how to conduct business correctly.
I wish Taker, and indeed all my wrestling hero's that i did not name, a long and happy life with good health in retirement from the business. Your fans salute you! Thank you Taker.
This was so damn funny. The jokes from the interviews had me rolling. The horror and shock of the Koko Tombston and then Taker trying to play it down LOL! Saying Koko was concussed! ROFL. He broke that man in half.
Then Hogan's whole story is funny as hell too. "Ohhh you got me brother!"
As tombstones go.... that koko one looked like it could be painful😅
I've seen a few tombstones were it looked like the head made significant contact. His WM14 match v Kane, he did three tombstones where at least one, it looked like Kane's neck was a bit out from the knees and he gets spiked right into the mat.
That's not to mention that Kane's tombstone on that match was almost botched as well, but he was able to cinch Undertaker's body into the correct position.
@@brianm2881Was kane's botched in reality? I ask that question because the way he used to deliver it so quickly always looked like he was almost dropping people in their heads.

Survivor Series, but did not air on television until December 15, 1990). Also prior to his Survivor
Hogan was worried Taker was going to take his top spot
He was
And he did.
Hogan spot was taken in 90 when warrior won at mania and also stole savage spotlight in 88
Koko B Ware used to be 6'6"!
That tombstone he took from taker dropped him a couple inches
I met him a couple weeks ago and I'm 6'4' and he was a good 10 inches shorter than me
Even Taker was 6'7 in his prime but he will say 6'8.
Cant be 6'8 cause Kane said he was ABOUT 6'8 and Sid said he was 6'6.¼

@@newhybrid101Pretty sure Mark knows his own height. His basketball stats had him at 6'8.
"He forgot you had already apologized" had me dying 😂😂
Hogan did the same douchy deal with Sid. He didn't like the fact that dudes bigger than him were getting big pops from WWE audiences. He could see the rise of Taker even far back then and wanted to put a kybosh on it.
Even Bearer said in a Shoot something like Hogan's acting afterwards was total bs. He could have buried Taker's Push given Taker was only 1 Year in the Company and that was his first big Match!
I always wondered why Undertaker switched up his Tombstone when he came back in 1994. He used to do it over one shoulder and "trap" the opponent's arm nearest him and I personally loved that variation of it the most. In fact I'd scream at the TV as a kid about how Ted Dibiase's Underfaker wasn't real because his Tombstone was different.
I think ultimately, it must’ve been for safety reasons. A conventional tombstone pile driver - which I remember first seeing Dave Fit Finley use on world of sport in the late 80s (check out 22:09 in this video czcams.com/video/e-z129JBiYM/video.htmlsi=syVqVFD8zXxxraeW) is always performed with the deliverer’s head between their opponents knees to ensure that weight is evenly born and allow the “receiver” as secure a grip as possible around the “giver’s” waste!!
When lifting heavier athletes, this method also minimises the chance of the overbalancing when executing the manoeuvre, which could cause an injury to either. Having said that I do recall Taker, having performed at least one of his tombstones on Mark Henry using the riskier technique… which I guess is a testament to both his strength and the knowledge he’d accrued from around 20 more years of experience.
I think it has to do with safety but also equal distribution of weight. Undertaker has more control like that. Also it’s sort’ve used like a measuring stick to ensure the opponents head never touches- As long as Takers face was visible, that meant their body & head were not too low, not too high.
lol underfaker. good name for the fake undertaker
The TV can't hear you
@@randallflagg6271 Didn't ask.
It just never gets old watching Mark, and no matter how many videos of him I watch, I still chuckle seeing him look and act like a normal person (wearing running shoes, laughing at things, etc.). I suppose that's what 35 years of being the most iconic character in wrestling history does. He will forever be Undertaker in my mind.
As far as bad tombstones go, I've always winced when watching the one he gave Kane in their Mania 14 match. Kane's way bigger than Koko, and his head hits the canvas and he absolutely crumples. It's pretty bad.
That said, great clip- loving this show.

Hogan did A LOT to make the business what it is today. But at the same time he was such a bad person behind the scenes. With his whining and trying to bury others so he could stay on top. I have tons of respect for the man for what he did for the business but have barely any for who he is as a person. If that makes sense. lol. Taker on the other hand. In my opinion is the absolute greatest of all time. He was on top his entire career, yet never tried to bury anyone. Always tried to do what’s best for business, and will always have my respect and the respect of millions. Thank you Taker for all the great memories and moments

I always felt bad for undertaker winning his first title and stone cold in 98. The way that Hogan and Shawn Michaels behaved and carried themselves while dropping the title and trying to steal Undertaker and Austin's moment was shameful.
You felt bad for them? I think they both ended up alright...
@septv9995 in the long-run yes they were fine but in the short term yes I did feel bad for em because Hogan and Shawn both got their moments when they won the title and the person dropping it to em didn't bitch or make it hard for them so for them to make things hard for Undertaker and Steve was BS imo.

Since discovering this clip a week ago I think I've seen it like 10 times and it gets funnier everytime 😂
I see why Tony cringed after watching the Tombstone to Koko... It looks GNARLY from that perspective. 😂😂
The stupid thing about Hogan's antics is that just a couple minutes before the chair spot, he took another tombstone that he no-sold and started his "Hulk-Up" routine.
I’m so happy for Tony, he’s literally living his dream
It always amazes me Hogan worried about the Tombstone that finished him as opposed to the one he no sold 🤦♂️
Koko was using the ghostbuster/birdbuster/brainbuster which was more dangerous than the tombstone and he never hurt anybody, so that's probably why he gave undertaker the shit that he did.
Would be nice if they let him talk

Hogan claims it was the jolt. Taker cradles Hogans head way high between his thighs, maybe held him too right. Hogan stayed down a long time was helped out of the ring by WWE personnel.

i have been laughing for over an hour now lmao. the call back to the "koko must be sitting at home and being aahh see that son of a bi-" at 13:01 lmao. i just cant take it anymore 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
To be fair, the plan was for Hogan/Flair at WM8 (or Hogan/Sid depending on who you believe), so I don’t think there was ever any intention for Taker to stay champ for long. And Tuesday in Texas was an experiment that had been in the works, so I actually believe that what happened would’ve happened regardless of Hogan’s fake injury.
I will agree there my own thoughts were by the time Flair came in Vince is thinking I have the two biggest names in wrestling over tye last 10 years Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair at the same time. So I could see let's get the belt off Hogan in a controversial way, then hold the belt up at the Rumble, Flair wins the Rumble and belt, is now the champ but here comes Hogan challenging for the belt. That's my thoughts but from what I understand they had a series of house shows in late 91 and early 92 that never did well ticket wise so that's why Vince pivoted to another match.
Hogan's best sell job was on the floor in Vince's office
😂🤣😆😭
