    Very skeptical of this review. I live in Thailand and there are a few older 50 125 150 250 dirt bikes floating around, they're definitely not good quality their unreliable piles of junk. As I said they are old bikes so the new ones may be very different given they are trying to compete with Japanese and nipper the heels of KTM and Husky. The other reason I'm sceptical use it's a very professional and positive review, it's more like an advertisment not a review. Reviews list the pros and cons. I said my judgement do they been in the wild for a couple years and serious riders have written about them.

    EXCELLENT video!! I sold a 2017 YZ450FX and a 2014 RMZ450 to buy my 2021.5 FSE300R and FSE250E. I've never looked back. I'm thoroughly impressed with both bikes. The 300R is a tractor! The 250E isn't far behind it. That little air cooled engine has the torque to lift the front tire easily. I'm hoping GPX will make a two stroke 300 next year, but I'm planning on buying a TSE either way. BTW, I've asked Santa for Hero 9 Black. I'll probably have a bunch of questions for you. I suppose any GPX dealer, or shop that isn't a bunch of girls and can work an engine. They are engines just like any other. I work on my own and I would find it a rare situation to have someone else do work on a dirt bike for me as tinkering and fixing dirt bikes kinda comes with the territory of riding them. Honestly if you aren't capable of doing minor repairs, I wouldn't buy anything but a Honda lol, but any and every other bike brand will need work done at some point, but GPX engine issues are virtually non existent, the only parts that break are ones you break on the trail from normal riding. I beat the shit out of mine and many others do too, reliability isn't an issue, but you shouldn't be afraid to work on a small engine either.

      I'm afraid your wrong (mostly) lol. Its similar to a Husqvarna frame and now there are some ktm style plastics. That's it. The engine is not a copy of anything as the 4 stroke engines are proprietary. The 2 stroke engine is a yamaha literally, as they bought the design and tool line. They currently are designing their own 300 two stroke FI. So again, they somewhat a copy of the husqvarna frame but not the same. I actually like that the plastics are the same so I can order different brands. As for parts, I can order from both RMATVMC or GPX and have parts in 2 days. So your information is completely based on assumption. I would try one out first and then form an opinion.

Plus I wouldn’t want a used Xc or kdx, someone else beat the crap out of it and eventually you have to worry about parts. The GPX tse250r may be “slower” than the kdx, but it’s just as capable and a newer design.

    Well at least someone is trying to get a motorcycle that the working class can ride. But in your video you make it out to be a lesser motorcycle then the big names. And in that you are missing one point about the working class. We are tired of pay to win things. That is the reason pay to win videos are not well excepted in the US. We know we can out ride the wealthy that can afford the best because we aren't afraid of pain. Plus we like taking risks to take our minds off the mondain's of our world. Working class was the one out there in the beginning of this dirt bike craze. We would cobble together a 2 stroke from parts and get out there and tear up the riding places. Not sure where the working man's bike comes in. I will say the GPX and SSR are ok bikes for beginners/ casual riders but its still cheaper to find a Japanese bike on the classifieds and restore it. Found my yz 450 for 1500 put a rebuild in, redid my suspension, bearings ect and it was still cheaper than one of these. In a couple years the Japanese trail lines (x/fx/,rx ect) will be all over marketplace classifieds and you will get a pretty much up to date machine for the same price or less than the cost of one of these. The idea of the price tag on this is just to say I have something "brand new" even though its technology that's a decade plus old. I rode an SSR and I was surprised. Solid little bike. Kind of a slug in the power department but was a decent bike to ride on the non technical trails. We took a Chinese bike on the technical trails and the back suspension was blown by the end of the day. I think another 5 years or so there will be a common chinese bike to see at the tracks and trails. They seem to be going in the right direction.

    • @LCARSADV
      @LCARSADV  Před 3 lety +1

      Have you ridden one? GPX and SSR are night and day different. GPX frame is a modern frame based on a husqvarna design which is one of the best frames around and as modern as you get. The suspension on GPX bikes is better than most japanese stock suspension. The parts are better and a higher quality grade than SSR. So I would ride one and then pass judgement instead of assuming it's even close to the same as an SSR. I know people who race GPX bikes as they more than capable from beginner to advanced because they are enduro bikes. Go ride one, and if you still come to the same conclusion, then at least it counts as an honest review.

    • @trevor866
      @trevor866 Před 3 lety +1

      @@LCARSADV reason why I related to the SSR is because its also a widely accepted higher quality chinese bike. I have yet to see a GPX available but I would happily try it if I was given the chance. I ride an 08yz450 so either way these bikes won't offer me anything I haven't seen before. The SSR is a good beginner bike. And I would say this one would be a good casual bike.
      The suspension is high quality sure but any suspension will perform well when you are doing 25 to 30 kms on a trail. Show me an actual test to compare suspension with a Japanese bike. I think you did a very good job show casing the bike but that doesn't change the fact the entire premise of this video is about initial cost of buying the bike. You can get an up to date bike that's 10x more reliable and capable in all aspects for half the price if you are concerned about being affordable. You could get a KTM or Husky for the same price.
      The only draw to the big bore idea of this bike is simply that. People like 2021 and 450 in the same line. Even though the 2021 is running 20 year old technology and the 450 puts put less power than 30 year old bikes.
      I will stand by it. Im not one of those people who thinks you need the latest and greatest to have fun riding. Ride what you like and want works for you. This bike is promising for Chinese quality. So is the SSR. But having 2021 in your title isn't worth skipping the older tried and true if you are looking for a cost effective way to start up. In one of your other comments you said to lock tight the crap out of the bike. That's enough said about the quality compared to Japanese.

They're a rotten country and I do what I can not to participate in their takeover. Do I buy their stuff if I have no choice..yes. A dirtbike doesn't qualify. Also consider that you can buy tanks, racks, windshields, guards etc etc from dozens of makers for a Drz, klr, wr, xr and make it what you want. Yes I still look for 6th on my Drz and its heavy, but its not holding me or 98% of anyone back. I could keep it running off used Ebay parts for 100 years no doubt. And at some point Suzuki is going to update it and the FI model will be the best seller in 2050....if we are still making gasoline. Ranty I know and Im not judging those that bought them, just making a point. There's a lot that goes into being a reputable manufacturer. It takes years of learning and growing at the right pace so you can weather storms and still remain afterward. One big lawsuit or issue and GPX woukd close up. Honda, Suzuki etc close and the world has likely ended. Having said all that if it was anything but Chinese Id give it a shot.

I think its entirely possible these bikes might exceed anyone's expectations. I once bought a stripped down Subaru Outback just to run between jobs and drop stuff off. 200k miles later I loved that thing and hated to see it go. It was unstoppable and cheap to keep. My point with China is just that they weaken the competition selling at a loss for a while and then dial back what your getting for the money. At that point you don't have any alternative. They are ruthless and conduct themselves in a way we can't conceiver of. I just try to put up somewhat of a fight and know it's a waste. Hell, I am 48 and probably can't ride for crap anyway. My DRZ will be the last bike I really ever need. Besides all that I hope you have fun and it lasts a very long time. That's the point of it all.
