You took the easy way. I did too.
lol this was quite a few years ago now, I’d probably take the same line lol
Bro your original cap was a 0.8 you put on a 2.0 bar, that's over twice the pressure. Apparently a lot of people are buying this cap that is over twice the pressure bar. If you would have had a 0.8 bar cap you would have been good. "It's not the arrow, it's the Indian"
My stock radiator cap is 1.1 bar, 2.0 bar is a lot more pressure🤔
Nice to see you back bud and I hope things are going your way. Enjoy the time away man 🤘🏻
Its a flippen copy, no innovation on anyonrs part except ktm
Then buy a ktm. I’m happy.
Nice videos but do you go into the thoughts in the Kove more specifically?
Yeah I have a few review videos out there as well
They've priced themselves out of the market, No one is buying a china bike for 4.7k when you can get a klx 230r or crf250f for a few bucks more
You’re a dummy
I've had this cap for over a year and ive had no issues , im guessing you purchase the wrong size cap
No it wasn’t it was just a crappy design read the reviews on their website
Hey LCARS ADV did you fit a Enduro Engineering S/A end cap on your silencer?!? Just curious
Yessir! Had to trim a 1/4” off the end but it fits
Thank you Sir I have one ready to install 😁
@@jimstowers383 it’s nice to have the option to have a spark arrester
Tru Dat 😁
Thanks for the review. Gonna order a set now. 🤙🏻
What kind of rpms are you turning at 80mph?
Dope video!
Thank you! It’s such a cool place!
Funny the things you mention are all identical to the new Triumph 400 stories. So would undoubtedly solve them too.
All in all I do like it, it doesn’t seem placebo anyways
I live in Mendon NY, just bought a 2023 KTM Adventure SW, and you're giving me great examples of where to ride once I get my legs under me. Wish we could motor on the Rails-to-Trails routes -- they'd be perfect. Thanks!
Oh that’s awesome, we should ride sometime. What are the rails to trials routes?
@@LCARSADV My reply disappeared. Rails-to-Trails are where the railroad right-of-ways have been repurposed as walking, running, bicycle & skiing trails. But motorized vehicles aren't permitted.
@@RYwoodview there is one out in Bergen that you can ride on
@@LCARSADV Can't find it searching. What's it called & where is it?
@@RYwoodview I usually access it right off of Route 19 before you get into Bergen coming from the north
What carb did you put on your tse300 and what oil ratio did you use and what all did you half to buy for the carb mine came with a kehin 38mm clone but it is real rich and i have jeted it but the cable is so tight i cant change the main jet. Thank You
I ended up with the Xtng 36mm but I did have a Keihin 36 for a bit. I’m very happy with the Xtng and the fuel efficiency as well. I’m sorry I don’t remember my jetting though.
Oh I usually run 45-50:1 oil ratio
@@LCARSADV ok thank you also do you know what year ktm graphics fit the tse or where i can buy graphics.
@@user-ii2pd9zw5w the GPX UK boys have some premade that look pretty good! Check their website out!
i dont see it on there website thank you.
Hello, do you recommend the original carburetor main and pilot jet at 1000 feet?
I don’t know sorry, but it comes with a 38 which I think is too big. I went with a 36
great video man, D yoou mind sharing your jetting specs? I have the 2022 model, and it came jetted all wrong, would not run properly. You motor seems more lively in the videos than mine does. I had to gear it down for enduro riding to 52T in the back, the 46 was way too tall for tight trails. thx
Oh gosh I’m sorry I don’t remember, however I would look at your plug and your engine response. It should be a light tan color. I probably put the info on the GPX face book group, I would do a search
I’m thinking of this bike. The new one seems to have a new engine with fuel injection with PDS suspension. What do you think?
It’s good if you like all that, but I personally liked it old school like a Honda XR, but it is convenient!
@@LCARSADV are you not a fan of EFI???
@@fattie2550 I like both!
Where do you get graphics kits for the 250
Motorcal.com has them, but GPX UK has some great ones that fit perfectly
Love the space balls reference! 😂
Still a great movie!
What is the wet weight? And what’s the power output?
Not sure about the weight, but it’s light like a KTM and the power is the same as a KTM 300 XCW it it’s a fantastic bike
Not designed for tube tires
The manufacturer would disagree
No link to where you bought it for $150?
Bought it straight from fuelx as I wouldn’t buy it anywhere else to be covered under warranty
@@LCARSADV okay thanks, I looked it’s currently $160
What luggage are you using?
Westwind it was really good!
Its chris the one you sold the fse250e to, Hope to see you at the monkey butt this year. I took the bike to Virginia last weekend to race a part of the VCHSS, am loving it Thank you. Also met the Gpx dealer out there, working towards a 300 big bore kit for it.
Hey what's up buddy! Glad you're still rockin' the bike! Yeah I'll be at MB this year God willing!
NM it finally showed
I hit the like button and it not showering
Curious why you have an hour meter on it when it measures hours on the dash? Is it just a secondary hour meter?
The dash just keeps track of mileage and trips
Interesting, my dash displays hours on my TSE300R
@@dalepellerin you make me want to double check mine now lol. Mine came with an hour meter though, I didn’t install it
@@LCARSADV When you hit the mode button on the dash, I think three times, in the lower right will display a number and that is the hours. Nothing designates it as hours but it is. I’ve been watching it each of my first 4 rides (just purchased last month) and it is aligning with the number of hours I’ve ridden.
I would go test it out, but the bike is at my buddy’s house getting prepped for Moab.
What is the actual weight of this bike?
I can't remember off hand, I thought is was 265ish? But I could be wrong, it rides light though
I am thinking about a fse to match my tse. Thanx for all the videos. Totally dig the star trek theme.
Thanks man!
GPX are built in Thailand actually, it’s a Thai brand using a Zongshen engine
No they aren’t, Gary from GPX visits the factories in China
Music too loud, can’t hear you talk
It just bums me out the dont wire it for turn signals to easy make street legal
The wiring should be there though, the tse300 is the only one that doesn’t have them. At first I was kinda bummed but not really, as I don’t really ride it on the road much
Those brakes are way better than the brakes you get on a 2024 Husqvarna.
They are amazing brakes!
I'd say they abandoned them more for the reason that they were indestructible, they wouldn't tear up and break down. Just like they done with the 300 4tracks 4wheeler. People around here are still riding them today because they are tanks and you cant stop them. They can change whatever to suit the governments fear of global warming, but Honda can't make money off them if they don't sell parts.
That's very true! The 300ex was a fantastic 4 wheeler and all their stuff was just bullet proof back in the day
You get what you pay for. I’m not looking at anything from China. I love my YZs best rated overall dirt bike plus years of parts accessibility. The aftermarket is also huge! A friend of mine had one a couple years ago, he was so glad to get rid of it. He loves his 2003 YZ250.
A yz250 is not even an enduro bike dude. Totally different bikes. Do you have any idea what you’re talking about? Glad you like your yz though!
@@LCARSADV after building these bikes for years, it’s clear you don’t know that a YZ is a great enduro bike. You could even buy a YZ250X which is a great bike for hare and hounds. It’s like you really don’t have a clue. Chinese bikes are crap!!
@@dahatchery you’ve obviously never even ridden one.
@@LCARSADV I don’t need to ride one, I know they won’t last, look face it, it’s from China. You haven’t a clue about anything YZ. You couldn’t even do a ride demo, lol! All kinds of bells and whistles, right?! Give me a break! Chinese 💩, with all that stuff on it, it weighs a ton. The metallurgy will also be in question. What I say is true, because of years of experience. It’s not just me, there are many.
You don’t have to even know that this company bassed their engine off of a 90-92 YAMAHA WR200. lol!
Thank you so much for all the info, this week i'm ordering this carb too, do you use the stock slide 6,5 that came with it from factory? or you switched for other size?
I just kept the oem slide.
No, I don't have a GS, but you buy one because you can cruise on the freeway about as comfortably as a goldwing, and still do a ton of off-road trails. And have you seen people pick them up? Looks pretty easy. They barely even tip over.
No doubt the GS is an amazing bike, but man I wouldn’t want a bike that powerful or heavy off road. After watching long way round and watching those guys picking up those bikes, there is no way I would want to be out in the wildness alone with one of those bikes.
@@LCARSADV Yeah, it's possible to do alone, but probably not wise, or super fun. You find ADV riders in groups mostly. With the big bikes, I'm told you just go slower over stuff so the wheels stay on the ground.
Hancock is a buttkicker for sure!
It is! The heat and humidity really adds to it
I'm proud to ride just about the only American owned dirt bike out there. GPX.
I got one of this carbs to install on a 2022 ktm 125xc. I still gotta fly back home been hiding from the northeastern winter
You need to run a mousse plushie up front and also setup your forks right. Should be deflecting on simple stuff like that
Bro the bike is made of chinesium from Chyna Gpx= Chyna
I love comments like this from ignorant people like you that never have ridden or even seen one. Dumb ass
Thats’s the plan! My suspension needs to be setup as well.
@@LCARSADV yeah I was thinking at those speeds no way you should be deflecting but the nitro mousse plushie up front and some clicker settings should help fine.
@@chadrides914 I think I’d smoke you on any of my bikes even if I borrow someone’s gpx you lose either way.
I wanted one but don't trust it yet. Saw two at my local OHV park end up back on a trailer with a busted frame and blown engine within an hour, saw a couple here on CZcams have clutch and transmission trouble, and I thought I saw something on the comment section of your ADV series where you mentioned a dead rectifier. I'm going to hang back and watch it for a while in hopes that I see less problems with it in the future
I think that’s probably not true, unless they fell off a cliff. If you’re looking for a brand with no issues, you’ll never find one. Go look at all KTM’s problems and then come back. For the vast majority these bikes are solid.
@@LCARSADV I wasn't in the trail with them. I just saw the bikes being pushed back out of the trails and asked what happened. If memory serves, the clutch one was from the channel that Everide suggested where the guy is supposedly a multi-time winner of several rallies. Just this morning I saw a video with some glitch in the electronics where shutting the bike off with the killswitch instead of the key results in am overheat warning. The bike has potential but it's not quite to the point where I'd be comfortable trusting it for the kind of miles that I put on a bike. I love the concept of the Kove but I want to see one have the kind of odometer reading my KLR had before I buy one since I've seen all these little quirks and a couple catastrophic things
How many miles are on that thing now?
Tough ride indeed
I think the heat makes it way tougher...
I started the event with brand new tires and that second day AM was greasy
Yeah it was, gonna have some better tires this year for sure!
What bike are you riding?
GPX tse300r
@@LCARSADVcool! How do you like it? Do you know where to go to respring it?
@@scottdrew6403 I love it! Yes, but I don’t need to respiring it. Possibly might do valves next year
Where did you get the custom graphics
Motocal, but gpxmotouk has some great graphics already made too
I'm not sure what mine has. I just bought it and received it last week (title indicates its a '23 TSE300R). I don't see any names/markings on my carb. I've only ridden it once just a casual 25 miles. I'm at 6000 ft in Colorado and ride quite a bit at my cabin which is at 9000 ft and everywhere in between.
They did change over to a Keihin thankfully.
