  • I had an issue with my fuelx recently. I had a check engine light and the error code said it was an oxygen sensor issue and I immediately suspected the fuelx. I called them up and they responded very quickly and sent me out a new unit. The new unit seemed to be defective because it would only flash red lights and not turn green. So I contacted them again and they sent out another one and this one had green lights which means basically that the fuelx took over.

So the Stock 3 blinks is the Stock ktm tune for stock exhust .. If still have the cat and Pre muffler ur not going to notice much becuase The engine isnt Breathing enough .. It would be good for massive Alltitude gains and losses as this effects air fuel mixture .. I have an open air box and open tuned exhuast and I have it on 5 and it rocks.. if you are up near 7 or 8 or 9 your put alot of fuel in the chamber and the O2 senors is sensing that .. GO BACK to 3 and depending on HOW MUCH you have opened the intake and the exhuast move near 5 . Also USE AN OBD2 Bluetooth and for gods sake figure out what ur AIR FUEL MIXTURE is .. its in the Stock ECU and you can see it on a Car App..

This is the fuelx lite so I can’t change the settings. However, you are probably right about the engine not breathing enough, I’ll have to look into some of that. I have all green lights now, which is good!

Got this for my adv 390 2020
There were no errors in the beginning but ony 2 green lights
Now after 3 days I've got the check engine , MTC and ABS lights on... Guess I've got to contact them too

Yes I would, lights should be green. I went through 2 of them that they sent me to get a working one. I would want a newer serial number cause maybe it’s updated?

I'm currently having the same problem. Have not contacted them yet. All 3 lights are green, ground is on the battery, engine runs fine, and smoother, but engine light is constantly on. I guess I will email them and find out what to do next. I tried the idle reset, and also unplugged everything from the battery for 30 min, but no change.

I tried similar things, it’s throws an oxygen sensor code or something. A new unit will fix it. I’ve had mine in for a couple months now of riding and still good

Hmm Do you think this is a problem for all ECUs? I'm considering getting one of the following 2 bikes KTM 390 ADV (Which I don't think really needs more power but there's no such thing as to much power) and also Honda's Rally 300 which I will for sure be getting an ECU and also a bigger airflow on it with a more powerful exhaust system too. Hopefully, pump up the HP from 29 to 40 plus so it will match the KTM but have a higher clearance and Honda reliability is just something KTM can't touch for the time being. Did you increase the airflow system on your KTM too?

No I don’t think it’s a wide spread problem, but a few have had this issue. I think it’s worth it for the ktm as it smooths it out. I haven’t increased the airflow yet. Maybe at some point I will though

Crazy, I just got the same engine code on my ‘19 vitpilen 401 and assumed it was the fuelx lite as well. This was after using it with no trouble for 5 months. Wonder what caused them to bug out?

They were very adamant about the ground being connected to the battery, mine wasn’t so maybe that caused it? Maybe the electrical noise?

I'm running a fuel x lite and I experienced a cel this weekend. When the cel lit, the bike stopped processing throttle input and basically went to idle. If you turned off the ignition and turned it back on , the bike would keep running and the throttle response would be restored. No idea what is going on.

Oh wow that’s different than what mine was doing. Everything would still operate fine, just the fuelx wasn’t inputting anything and throttle was back to factory but with a CEL. I have found that disconnecting the fuelx and discharging it might help, but I would just email them and get a new unit
