That cahier is a fine resource that clearly took a lot of effort over time to create - and the lucky among us were along for much of that journey captured on video. It was nice to get that brief trip through the pages as you decided upon the next ink. Solid choice, by the way. I like both of the iron gall selections by Rorher & Klingner.

Loved it! It looks like a pretty ink, but It would be great to see a close-up of your writing sample!
You look fantastic, and I love the footage of the pups at the end!

My main warning for Iron Gall inks in fountain pens, is to be careful of the type of converter you use. A friend tried Platinum Lavender-Black Iron Gall in a Delike New Moon 3. The converter has one of those cheap spring agitators in it. The ink reacted with the metal of the spring and bubbled and changed the colour and flow of the ink. The agitator also got blackened. The steel ball bearing in Platinum cartridges is fine, I've had Lavender-Black in my Platinum Pocket Pen in a cartridge with no issue.

I used R & K Salix (another iron gall ink) and it caused a permanent etching stain on my rose-gold TWSBI nib after only one month use. I thought I could use it fast enough, but I was wrong. Now, I’ll stick with a cheap Jinhao plain steel nib when using iron-gall ink in extended writing periods.

@@JRDiaz-tn5kb ouch, I assume that is a plated steel nib. So far the Platinum Lavender Black doesn't appear to be causing any damage to the 14k gold nib on the Platinum Pocket Pen

THanks for that! A good warning/reminder!

@@themisterchristie Yes, gold-plated steel Jowo. The pen is fine otherwise and still works o.k., just with a permanent mark on the non-writing part.

5 years ago, in your video . The China Blue ink's color is more fresh and ...different, please check it. So I wonder there are many inks those color would change after years.

Hey I like licorice tea for a sore throat. There’s a tea maker in the US that markets “Throat Coat” which works wonders. I also rather like my Pineider Avatar UR Twin Tank Touchdown pen. It’s worth noting the acrylic is incredibly durable. That’s the material that Dante Del Vecchio whacks with a hammer on the Goulet Pens video …!

Thanks - and I totally agree about the Pineider acrylic. Those pens are amazing, and I have to admit, I think the Twin Tank is my favourite pen of all the ones in my collection. I try to use it all the time.
