It’s funny, but once upon a time the Mongols came to Europe and conquered Rus. The Russians were vassals of the Golden Horde for 200 years and paid tribute to the Tatar-Mongols. But in 1480, the Russians defeated the Tatar Khan Akhmat and were completely freed from foreign oppression. As a result, Russia became the largest country in the world, and Mongolia fell under Chinese occupation. But the Russians came and liberated the Mongols, and now the Russians and the Mongols are very friendly nations towards each other. Just an interesting fact.
That was an awesome video, man! So glad we took this trip together. Just an FYI to everyone: what you're seeing is just a small slice of what Daniel, Ksenia, and I experienced during our trip to Mongolia. One of the coolest parts of our train journey was being the only passengers in the car from Slyudyanka to Ulan-Ude. Felt like we were traveling in First-First Class 😂
I once had a filght from Vegas to Everett, Washington, that was delayed until 1am. so over half of the passengers left, and when we got on the flight they just started handing out free drinks and free food for the whole flight. That's the closest I every got first class since I was a little 😂.

This is my first association when I hear about Mongolia, thanks to the Mongolian people♥️ I’ll be waiting for a report from this sunny country🤗

At the bigger stations (Irkutsk, Ulan-Ude) the train stops for 30 (maybe even 40) minutes. But Sl'udyanka's size did not deserve more than 2 minutes stop ;)
20 hours! I had to take a 13-hour train ride with lots of stops once/twice a month for work. Ugh!.However, when I used the train for travel purposes, we also made it an adventure. Buy our food/snacks ahead of time, games, movies, etc. Kseniya looked so happy when you admitted she slaughtered you in Uno! ha ha ha.
I think it's a Russian girl thing. In January of 89 we went to an Elimination Facility in Belarus for three weeks...way in the middle of nowhere. We took a dartboard and darts. The cleaning lady watched us play darts one night. She asked about the rules. About 0200 that night, I could hear "thunk, thunk, thunk" coming from the common area. Yep, it was the cleaning lady practicing darts. Next two nights, same thing. Third evening, she comes in the lounge saying, "Anyone wanna play darts?" ha ha She killed us! @@Wild-Siberia

Абсолютно не закрытая! Для граждан РФ въезд безвизовый, Hunnu air раньше летали в Иркутск и Улан-Удэ, МИАТ летал в Москву. Все кто старше 45 лет помнят русский язык (т.к. учили в школе). Зимой сложно, т.к. на улице ветрено очень - а в помещениях сухой воздух (без увлажнителя прям кранты, тут же глаза и нос пересыхают). Но вообще вполне себе душевно. В старом аэропорту все надписи были на монгольском и на русском, и снизу английский припИсан.

Ie ,in the convenience of the hotel, have fruits and vegetables , add water/juice to blend it together, and add nuts too. Don't know about AirBNB, but there's plenty of information about Mongolian hotels available on Booking.com: in Ulaanbaatar alone there are eight 5* hotels (Kempinski, Novotel, Best Western, even Holiday Inn got 5* there!) , sixteen 4* hotel (one of them managed by Ibis), twenty-one 3* hotels. I can personally recommend "Hotel Nine": 3*, pretty central, decent breakfast, "Double shot" cafe (which is actually more than a cafe, rather a real restaurant serving european, russian, and mongolian dishes as well) on the ground floor.Nice, clean, great customer service. You can choose between the rooms with a view on the main square, and more quiet rooms overlooking the inner yard.

If you're aiming to become a professional russian, you have to take a chicken, eggs, and some potatos on a train journey, it's obligatory. The chicken needs to be roasted, the eggs boiled, and tators boiled unpeeled, consumed by biting in and pouring a bit of salt.
When times were better with the Russian government and we were cooperating on disarmament issues. Ulan Ude was one of two official Points of Entry (POE) for several treaties. My friend and I rode the Trans-Siberian from Putinia to Mongolia in 2016. We started in Moscow, stopped off in Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk and Ulan Ude before ending in Ulaanbaatar. Mongolia is my favourite country I've visited so far. I was not all that impressed with Putinia - beautiful country but unfriendly people, and very corrupt and authoritarian.

Don't know about AirBNB, but there's plenty of information about Mongolian hotels available on Booking.com: in Ulaanbaatar alone there are eight 5* hotels (Kempinski, Novotel, Best Western, even Holiday Inn got 5* there!) , sixteen 4* hotel (one of them managed by Ibis), twenty-one 3* hotels. I can personally recommend "Hotel Nine": 3*, pretty central, decent breakfast, "Double shot" cafe (which is actually more than a cafe, rather a real restaurant serving european, russian, and mongolian dishes as well) on the ground floor.Nice, clean, great customer service. You can choose between the rooms with a view on the main square, and more quiet rooms overlooking the inner yard.

If you're aiming to become a professional russian, you have to take a chicken, eggs, and some potatos on a train journey, it's obligatory. The chicken needs to be roasted, the eggs boiled, and tators boiled unpeeled, consumed by biting in and pouring a bit of salt.

When times were better with the Russian government and we were cooperating on disarmament issues. Ulan Ude was one of two official Points of Entry (POE) for several treaties. My friend and I rode the Trans-Siberian from Putinia to Mongolia in 2016. We started in Moscow, stopped off in Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk and Ulan Ude before ending in Ulaanbaatar. Mongolia is my favourite country I've visited so far. I was not all that impressed with Putinia - beautiful country but unfriendly people, and very corrupt and authoritarian.

It’s not possible as a foreigner (because you’ll need a Russian visa bank card) it’s very easy to do in person though and the trains are usually set to certain days reoccurring
