I was confused by the tank and the map cause I knew there were no Mongolian troops fighting against Wehrmacht (they had relatively few and those were already engaged guarding the borders with Japan-occupied China at the time). So had to do quick extra research. Indeed, the Mongolians paid for 53 tanks (T-34 and T-70) produced in USSR back in 1942. These tanks formed a separate brigade which originated near Moscow in January 1943 and whose 1943-45 route to Germany is then shown on the map under the tank. The tank exhibited is just a later (85mm long gun) version of T-34 (went into production in 1944), not necessarily the one that was actually used by the denoted brigade at any point in time. Mongolia also stands behind a squadron of fighters that were manufactured at their expense over 1943. The biggest input into the war effort by Mongolia actually were the horses - off the top of my head, I think there were around 0.5 mln horses supplied to the Soviet Army during the war which tremendously helped the logistic efforts. On top of that, there were huge supplies of cattle, wool, leather and multiple smaller items required for the joint Allied war effort. As a Russian, I’m thankful for all the support!

The wide stripes across the chest of the Red Army soldiers are often painted by artists in red, but in reality they have never been red. They were of different colors according to the types of troops: crimson - infantry, dark blue - cavalry, sky blue - aviation, orange - artillery. On this mosaic panel, we can see both the correct and the incorrect image at the same time.
I've had time to now watch from the beginning, and thank you for returning to this Memorial, amongst other sights you visited in a cooler season in the pinned Mosaic Video. The mosaic depicts the events not only of the Second World War. The beginning of the mosaic is the events of the revolution. Part of the mosaic with the image of the Japanese flag refers to the events before the Second World War. I will assume that this is the victory of the Soviet-Mongolian troops over the Japanese at Khalkhin Gol

@@Wild-Siberia HAHA lol That's why Native Americans are called as Indians. Love your videos checking interesting ones. Love to see more videos on Russia.
@@KPZivot yes sure I’m in Mongolia right now my videos are usually out in Russia check them out 🤣🫡
It’s beautiful and so modern looking
Thank you for making this video of my hometown Ulaanbaatar. Our government has done many things to attract tourists in recent years. Our city is developing rapidly and traffic is getting worse each year. Anyway, thank you for sharing.
I agree on everything you said the thing is Mongolians need to learn how to create larger roads with better traffic systems not based on time but by traffic.
Your country is beautiful. I absolutely love Mongolia. I will be back.
Wow that army ceremony is great
Awesome video as usual. I trust your sorting your visa stuff efficiently.
I cannot do it from Mongolia I’m here on vacation with ksenia I’ll go to america for that soon enough

Thanks for this piece of travelling to Mongolia. Never been there and it's a kind of revelation for me. I thought it was more rural. You changed it. Hope one day you get to explore the South of Russia. Krasnodar Region, Northen Cuacasus Republics of Russian Federation. I'm rather sure you will find lots of amazing places in there. Climb the mountain of Elbrus. Get to downhill skiing resorts of Dombay or Sochi. Dagestan, for example is a uniqe place if you want to see what real mountains look like. Try to Google fortress of Narin Kala in Derbent, which existed more than 2000 years B.C. and how it looks like today. If I can assist you in any possible way, just let me know, I'll do what I can for such a nice positive couple.
I’ve said it many times it’s my dream to see Dagestan! I will travel a lot next year. I will see such far away lands!
Thanks a lot I love this country
your vidieo is amazing, i will be coming to tour this city in the spring, maybe ill be fortunate enough to run into you and say hello....much respect mark czup ohio usa
I’m in Ulaanbaatar a lot, if you need any advice on things I’ll gladly help. I’m going back this September you’re going to have a good time.
Lovely video Dan, that city looks beautiful , Which software do you use to edit it??
I just use inshot it’s free not a lot of editing going on though just record then I stop and record other things in my head I imagine how it should flow. eventually I’ll make real videos 😂
OK thanks for replying, I've recently purchased a DJI osmo action 3 and I'm literally at the beginner stage and at the moment editing is very new, I'm just interested to know how you put your videos together, awesome video and thanks again 👌
@@deisescoot I’ll make sure to make a video like that eventually because I think I’m so cave man status that its pretty cool

My wife is from Gomel Belarus. Half her family died in WWII. Her great aunt was born in the Pripyet marshes in a bunker. Her mother was born in a train carriage and lived in one for several years. Until things were rebuilt.
Seeing that many of your subscribers are your fellow countrymen it would have been nice to have shown us where the US embassy was located. Love your channel ❤️
OK I will make sure to do it next time im going its next month thanks for pointing this out
Fun fact: If you pick up a stone and throw it anywhere you will hit Prius 20 car 80% of the time
Hi see you in one hour !
👍
I thought Mongolia was a desert. It turns out to be a modern city🤔
Their capital is very nice and modern
Your information is from...XVIII century:too old!
Better, get nowadays views, facts about my country.Otherwise, you'd be look alike with no modern knowledge(not knowing about ONLY...my country,in...generally!)among the youth, who is better informed.
I'd not "lectured" you,no.
Just remember - it's XXI century.

As a Mongolian I am not telling the government to fix this. Keeping original is perfect
Original? Yes but the Mongolians are destroying it that’s not original
@@Wild-Siberia No one owns the Zaisan land
We have bigger issues than fixing this statue. Inflation, Pollution, Poor infrastructure, and limited resources are rising
Ah, just pick the hair out. Next time just ask for the hairless salad! Great video guys. Your meal reminded me of grade school where we had a cook in the cafeteria, and we would expect to find a hair in our food. It was more rare to NOT find a hair. Gotta love old Mary!
yea we don’t have issues with the hairs but this was legitimately 2-3 feet long and we didn’t care to pay and didn’t want another salad but the second had it too. it’s just weird because they must not be wearing hair nets and their cooking conditions must be a little strange then.
@@Wild-Siberia Wow! 2-3 feet long? That's a whole new issue.
@@westernwanderer8397 yea I mentioned on the video it was like a horse tail hair long black and thick literally took a portion of the plate 😂 but it’s ok I’ll never go again they brought a second salad with the same issue and still made me pay full price
thanks
no thank you!’

It is pre-recorded or real live video?
These are recorded we watch them live together. I do live videos on the weekends sometimes.
I'm just so curious what all those office buildings are doing inside. The look like the buildings in LA that are for worldwide corporations, household names, but I've never ever heard of a single product or media coming from modern Mongolia personally.
This country is making most of its wealth in like banking sector it feels like a baking haven... tbh
@@Wild-Siberia Ah, I kind of assumed/wondered it might be a switerland-style situation, perhaps for the Eastern Bloc instead of most of the rest of the west like Switzerland and a few other tax havens in Europe. Office work, bureaucracy, and number keeping. Thanks for the reply!
Long live the heroic red army and the eternal memory of the great Soviet Union. We remember.

yes this is true but they have a lot of black Mercedes and Lexus and range rovers only the Prius are light colored. Mongolians are very wealthy and buy good cars in the last few years
