As a guy who's worked in the oil field and lived in camps like this - There is absolutely nothing better than a good meal at the end of a hard days work. Respect to all these restaurant staff.
same for us who sail supplies and crew to the oil rigs in the north sea
personally the best thing to do after a hard days work is give the part you were saving for starting a family to pedophiles who raise the cost of living and taxes everytime we get ahead.
Thank you so much for sharin...I am such in support of you all.all.of the miners

I heard it's made from people and that it tastes different from person to person. 😂
First, the fact you didn't take away from the fact this place offers options meaning its likely up to the person if they feel like eating healthier or not, they clearly made a fruit salad as one of the breakfast options, if that isn't healthy to you, you need help. Secondly, fried food isn't inherently unhealthy, its a case of moderation. These guys probably eat a fairly balanced diet all things considered with a fair variety of foods and with options available, fried food a couple of times a week isn't going to affect your health, especially when its not even fried in oil and there was clearly a stew being made at one point as an option. Even more so when most of these dishes are served with more veg than most Westerners eat in a month.
Additionally part way through it clearly says they try to mix things up by treating them to different styles of cuisine such as Mexican and American.
It's not 6000 people at a time. I think they said they have workers on 3 8-hour shifts to run the mine 24 hours a day. So they are serving 2000 at a time.
It really warms my heart seeing a company put so much actual care into the nutrition of these miners. That's huge man.

Goes to show that no matter the size of a kitchen, everything can run smoothly and with standards. Props to all of the hard workers, and passionate chefs working there!
I mean isn't the problem usually that kitchens too small start struggling due to not having space to work with? They had enormous amounts of space for bowls, plates and just generally everywhere they worked had space to spare.
@@MINIMAN10000 People who don't work in industrial food manufacture have little concept of processing space your correct the amount of space you need to process chain a production line effectively is a lot more than everyone thinks its not like your home kitchen.
As someone who's worked in a few kitchens; usually, when you go for a scale like this, everything works like clockwork. You have enough personnel and the kind of equipment you need to do this right... or you don't do it at all because just one person in the line of production falling 'off' can just stop EVERYTHING. You have your job, you know what you're going to do, you know where everything is and you just... 'zen' your way through the day. I love the work environment here. Not only enough respect and admiration between resturant staff and miners, but in the kitchens as well. In America, people goof off and don't care about the quality they put in the food, and workers are confrontational and picky. Not to mention corporations cheap out on fresh ingredients. I wish we implemented this work mentality in the states, that way everyone can act more accordingly and leave happily and come to work happily.
@joshbaucom1983 Yeah I get, I worked for a few corporate structures that really went low on fair treatment after COVID. But even before COVID I saw the hierarchical structure and how upper management gives incentives to middle management to whip workers to procure impossible results, including food service.
I used to work at a resturant in a casino. Everyone treated food service like crap, not just the customers. It came to a point workplace ethics was out the window. I had one cook that was outright making food for herself for free, and another cashier grabbed food from stations.
And suddenly I feel the urge to become a miner in Mongolia.

My cousin works at this mine site, and he said he’s in a dilemma of good food vs personal weight control 😄
He said he usually skips out dinner because he knows that of he goes, the food will be good for sure and he’d eat a full portion.
For reference, he works at the office, so obviously, he doesn’t burn as much calorie as a worker working on the mine would on a working day.
Ask him is there a fee for the meals and what does the lowest paid miner make? Curious

@@Mypretty2 I work in mining so in Australia so I'll give some of my experience. Will the people who hold the profits and power decide to share their horded wealth with those who are not working to bring them more wealth and power or simply leave those "unemployed" people to die when the capitalist machine no longer needs to exploit them? Am I missing something? How is this a good thing?

I find it utterly amazing that the owners of the mine feeds their employees. I’ve been on jobs where no one got a water.
Yeah, and they pay them 10 dollars a day. I can not believe that everyone is so positive over this video. These guys live the worst lives ever.
WOW massive,I worked in the mines of Western Australia for 30 years and the biggest camp I have been on is 2500. Never have I bitch about the food in any camp as I have always eaten better there than home. Respect to all catering staff 😎👍🇦🇺
I worked in mines and oil in gas all over Australia and I can tell you that not one of the sites I stayed at over all my years produced food that was at this level. The food we got was sub par, nothing fresh, no quality meats or vegetables and alot of stuff straight out of packets. Well done Mongolia for taking care of your employees
To be fair in a gas project in Australia you are making about 20x the wage of a Mongolian miner. I'd pass off decent food for that.

That culinary operation is very impressive and it seems like they take pride in feeding their employees well. I’m sure mining is a grueling occupation and they probably have a massive appetite at the end of the day. Other companies could learn how to treat their employees from them.
I'm not exaggerating but I found this to be one of the most overwhelming videos I've ever seen ☺️ Huge respect to the owner and management of this organisation. These employees are really lucky!
Mining operators do things effectively as the cost of looking after people is cents in a hundred dollar compared to the profits they're pulling out of the earth.

@@rabby77777 True, but keep in mind mega companies will often use good food and other tricks as a way to keep workers happy while cutting areas, and even cutting people into early retirement for example. I'm not saying the company in the video funding all of the stuff in the video is bad, but its something to keep in mind.
I know this as my father works in the single company that brings electricity to my entire state. Good food, allowance, top quality accommodations, free beer, etc, but they often abuse workers rights to get a bigger profit, though the union helps their rights.

In the navy, working as a mess (later culinary) specialist at different commands and ships, the one thing I had always remembered from an old master chief (from my “A” school days in San Diego) was what he said: “Would you serve, another person, what you didn’t want to eat yourself?!” During my many years in, I had always prided myself on making and then serving the best food (chow) we had, to my shipmates. Whether if it was a hamburger, turkey, noodles in creamy mushroom sauce, surf and turf, Thai, or scratch made bakery items (we did make more food and bakery items that way, back in the late 80’s… but I was recently told, by one of my goddaughters, who just made chief, that ship board quality of food has gone way down, since her mother and I was in), I would always say to myself; “I’d be proud to eat this myself!” I am glad that this place shows (and reminds me) of how good food can make people feel and keep them healthy.🥰

Worked a few years in operations like this. Can't be over emphasised how important good quality food is.
Yes, food is one of the most significant yet most overlooked morale boosters. Many corporations and even governments don't seem to understand how important good food is to keeping your workers happy. They'd rather save money by cutting corners on the food and the kitchen staff than spend a little in exchange for worker morale, job satisfaction, and ultimately improved productivity.
Absolutely, I have no doubt the money they spend on all this food and work put into it easily pays them back in productivity and everything else from staff, I worked in an very large fishing company that done this for us and just the convenience of not having to worry about all your meals that day helped, they literally provided our 3 meals and let us order whatever we wanted which was nice, feels great to hop on the boat and know someone has already taken the care to put your favourite foods and snacks on there, and then even when we couldn't make it back to the factory ship they would send out a boat with all our food, felt so pampered, having someone do that for you and it being great food makes you happy for the rest of the god knows how may hours, the work was pretty full on too but the food alone and good work environment made it easy even though I had done the same jobs at other companies and generally regarded it as miserable torture that made me hate life lol.
TL:DR Give staff food and a healthy working environment and they will happily do just about any work.
Nothing like a good meal that'll boost your workforce.

I worked in steel company, and our canteens never had even 10% of this quality. Providing such a high quality and delicious food for their employee clearly shows that they treat them right. Kudos to that company.
Sadly this was just for the cameras. In reality the canteen is very understocked, no staff, dirty & the portion sizes here are a massive misrepresentation of the reality.
