      Yeah, but he is wrong.
Did you notice that the adversary is "a helper" in the story?
It makes no sense at all.
Adam and Eve ate to help WHO? Humans? But humanity fell because of them.
Fallen angels? They are already condemned.
The Bible is clear: death entered this world BECAUSE of sin.
Adam and Eve decided to do a "political coup" and be in the place of God, that is the problem.
God wanted them to have a choice, but they would have to suffer the consequences of their choice.
      Now, why does evil exist?
Everything that exists was part of the infinite, but was NOT the infinite. In the future, the infinite will purge evil forever.
That is the separation between light and darkness mentioned in Genesis.
In the new Jerusalem, there is no darkness. And also everyone there chose God.
It's just that He doesn't have to put up with evil.

@@beatrizn.5278 He is not wrong. You're just very unwilling to consider that the theology that you were raised with could be wrong. It is. Most likely that same christian theology taught you to distrust and hate Jews. How perfectly they have made you unsusceptible for the truth. How perfectly they have locked you into the lies they indoctrinated you with. The only reason that you are affraid that your theologic beliefs are being challenged by an alternative interpretation is because your beliefs are shaky and deep down you know they can't be right. That is the voice of reason; the voice of G-d, within yourself and this is you actively covering your ears to it. You are wrong in your beliefs about G-d and the truth is MUCH more liberating and hopeful than your gloomy, erroneous beliefs of Him. It is no wonder to me why christians are so eager to condemn others and why they sin, in secret, more than the average atheist sins openly; Off course such a loveless, senseless and tyranical G-d is not worthy of worship. And you could not bring yourself to worshipping this imagined tyrant either.
But go ahead and believe in a senseless and cruel G-d who doesn't honor free will and punishes people for excersizing the free will that He himself gave them.

The Christian pastors I’ve heard in my life who constantly berate their congregations into “committing the original sin over again” are usually the ones who want to exert toxic control and ironically fall into gross sin. If they just once saw this story on a deeper level, the forced need for a halo would go away, the assumption of what we really are would return, and the congregation could grow from little minions trying to fake angelic righteousness and instead realize they are on a mission from God to make things right in the lowest of worlds. What happens instead is that the “righteous” remain in dishonesty and sometimes gross sin like drugs and incest, while the ones who feel something isn’t right about this narrative leave the church and God completely.

Listening to the words of this man you make Satan words be the real truth and God's lies. Before the fall there is no death, so what “low” should be saved? It is a nonsense. God once said to one prophet:

Interesting explanation. I'm not sure about Hebrew definitions of words but at Genesis 2:16 is says God gave a "command" not to eat from the tree. We as humans are created by God in his image so a good analogy of this is that we let our children play at the park and we command them not to run across the road because they could get hit by a car and die! We don't keep them on a chain so they won't run across the road but we let them have a relative amount of freedom. We don't secretly hope they will disobey us do we? Sometimes children do disobey the parents command resulting in untold pain suffering and heartbreak. As loving parents of teenagers we command them in a loving way to follow rules but sometimes teenagers are rebellious and follow their own reasoning and it ends up in disaster. I don't think the story is more complicated than the examples I mentioned above. The ultimate shortcoming starts with the serpent who planted a seed of doubt in the woman's mind implying God was lying about the results of disobedience.

There are many different perspectives and nuances in comprehending these Concepts.... Especially when trying to comprehend an even slight prospective of an Infinite Source....
We are always hindered with our finite perspective so if we are utilizing terminology such as the notion of a need....

No knowledge yet. So OF COURSE they just do things. Like babies: you can tell them whatever you want, they simply do not get it yet. So how could it ever be a sin?

When your mom told you to not to cross the street without looking did you need to get hit to understand why? Know you listened to your mom cause you don't know better. See listening to your parents as a child gets you further then when you are a disobedient kid. We need to learn to look at it from a LOVING creator's standpoint. He allows free will so he will not CONTROL you. Sadly folks who will try there hardest to make Yahuah out to be a bad guy are just dismissing the fact that YOU as a LIVING BEING have your own choice. When you hear something you have never heard before we naturally CONSIDER what we are being told before we dismiss it UNLESS the majority of the world already agrees. Eve CONSIDERED what the Serpent said to her because it was something she had never heard. Which brings in our curiosity now. The Serpent was LITERALLY the bad friend your mom tells you to watch out for because that friend has seen more then you in life hence "sheltered kids" vs "Street kids" they have seen more in life at a early age so they easily convince the other kids their age that the things they do are "cooler" then being a "good kid"

Continuing this pursuit of working a job will not redeem you. Money is a way to make someone a tool and make them mechanics for system optimisation. That is self righteous and far from good in consensus between the the people of the book.

Adam not understanding death because "nothing ever died" in his world kind of reminds me of a North Korean pilot who defected to the West with his Mig, recalling the pamphlets the Americans dropped to entice defection. I just finished reading Gensis this afternoon. One of my biggest takeaways, and one of my favorite lessons in life, my best days are disguised as my worst days.
Its interesting to see the timeline of the unolding of this first book.
It makes me think of the Serpent/Satan, "the bad guy", from a certain point of view.
Meanwhile, the "bad guy" is, in a sense, one of the Fathers of the world we live in to today.
Had the Serpent/Satan not "tempted" Eve, where would we be? Who would we be? Would we be at all?
So quick we can be to demonize rather then show gratitude. And even forgiveness.
    Why forgive?
The alternative is holding resentment. We know that its unhealthy to hold resentment against other ppl. Why is it not the same for Non-Human-Entities as well?
Thank you, Serpent/Satan. I forgive you, for those who cant. I love you.
Every happens for Divine Reason. Its all part of the Plan of the Greater Will.
We get so hung up on "good" vs "evil" that we ignore that at its neutralized foundation it comes down to +/- and/or -/+.
    But what can you do?
Be the change you want to see.

Cain and Abel were born in our world, the lowest world. Adam and Eve were not. Had the Garden of Eden event taken place in our world, your statement might be valid. Could be why God chose to create them and interact with them in a separate world. Why they had to start where they did.
