I hate less than 1% of all people now but I used to hate 95% of all people due to bullying and abuse and distrust of Hashem, the thing that changed me was the lesson that I should trust G-d to reward and punish.

But those days are over I still love and care for the human race and always will but we are human and that says it all.

Thank you, so much. I have been diagnosed, since my 20s, with Borderline Personality Disorder, PTSD, Depression and Anxiety. Needless to say, I have childlike responses to things that can result in uncontrollable anger/tantrums. I had a year of DBT, when I was 57, which focuses a lot on mindfulness. At 67, I am still grappling with it, to get it right. Not easy. However, the way you described how to get into mindfulness mode looks like something I can do. You showed me a doorway I can step through, so I can stop breaking dishes, banging walls, and being hysterical, at the times anger kicks in. May I ask you to pray that I cure this awful behaviour. I don't want it. I want peace. I come from a family where violent behaviour was the norm. I grew up with it. I don't want it in my life, any longer.

I feel like this was fate. I’ve been goin through it lately and it reminded me of the time I got so upset by something I asked for a person to be damaged in a car so bad everything would break but that they wouldn’t die. Tell me why a few years later to the exact letter, it happened. Damaged car, damaged body to the brink of death(near-death experience and all)To this day, I never had the heart to tell ‘em that I asked for this. I always pray to Hashem for forgiveness. Some might say it was a coincidence but the details hit a little too close to home for it to be just a coincidence…

You shouldn’t hit anyone, let alone your children.

  • @braziltokyoschool
    @braziltokyoschool Před rokem

To control yourself when you feel any good or bad feelings, you have to be in control of your life, you have to have self awareness.
For example, anger isn't an action but a reaction, it's a reflexion, a harvest not a sowing.
It's good to say feeling any feeling (whether good or bad) is natural for human beings and is healthy, but being dominated by it is unhealthy because you lose awareness.
The lack of awareness is given by lack of knowledge, awareness itself, self-attention that is achieved only by the habit of not being present in the present time (in other words living in the past or in the future), that is, to be present at the presente moment, to be aware at all times and this is only possible just by being aware and alert. every moment, being present and using free will consciously every moment
You have to control your mind, not the another way around.
Today we live in a very fast-paced world that takes away our self-awareness, our control over our own lives by the bombardment of information every second. So be far from life sometimes, stay away and study life, understand life, Hashem is in life because he is Ein Sof.
Control your life, don't let life control you. Be 100% aware in 100% of the moments

Thank you Rabbi Friedman. This, like most of your videos, is particularly poignant for me. In other words, like a great comic, your timing is impeccable.
My list of what is worth getting angry over is short. And, maybe I should cut it in half.
    1. Intentionally disrespecting known preferences
    2. Intentionally disrespecting suspected preferences
    3. Egregiously-unawarely disrespecting known preferences
    4. Egregiously-unawarely disrespecting suspected preferences.
I'm considering cutting the list in half because it seems that there must be some intention behind the action in order for anger to be an appropriate response. On the other hand, if the action is done without ill intent but is done with total lack of awareness then maybe this is still worth displaying (though not actually feeling) anger over?
