    I’ve never owned or driven a motorcycle before but if I’ll ever get into motorcycling it’s got to be because of this exact model from Indian. Saw the other day at a local dealer for the first time and I was like LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT.

      That's a huge part of bike selection for me. I've had 5 bikes now, and some I've been more attached to than others. The ones I've had a greater sentiment towards have been the ones that I just want to stare at all day. 🤓😆

    Bought a brand new 2018 scout bobber as my first real bike and I love it. Had a grom for about 100 miles bc I was afraid of getting a bike too powerful but I said screw it and got the bobber. It rips at 4500 rpm and it looks amazing. I get compliments all the time and I can’t stop looking at it. Only thing that sucks besides the stock seat is getting my ass kicked by the wind on the country roads by me. This bike is awesome

    Love Arlen Ness. Went there to throw a leg over a Bobber in the showroom but they didn't have one. Instead they let me take their regular Scout out along with a gentleman named Doug. Never owned a bike before and finished my MSF course months back. I told him that and he still gave me the confidence to go out and enjoy the bike through Dublin even though I saw he was really busy. Thank you Arlen Ness for the experience and I have mad respect for the establishment and everyone working there.

      Thank you! Yeah, every demo truck event I've been to takes you on rides that are around 20-30 minutes long. I look for opportunities to do them as often as I can, because of the longer ride, and especially because there's not pressure to buy.

      I think this bike should come standard with a steering stabilizer. Another Ytuber crashed due to a tank slap. I think it is the bike geometry/fat tire/high hp and low to the ground. Tank slaps are usually common on sport bikes... This isn't a sport bike but close to one.

    I'm thinking of getting a 2nd bike and my choices are the Bobber or the Chieftain Darkhorse both 2019 model. I normally just go around town. So I really don't have the need for a bagger, but if I do, I could hop on it and go for a trip. The new darkhorse is also an inch lower, which helps me since I'm a shorter person at 5'5.

    • @thatoneguymoto

    My choice of bikes came down to the Indian Scout Bobber and the Harley-Davidson Sportster S. From a 'motorcycle' perspective they are comparable; but not really.
    As it turns out IMHO the Sportster S has the Scout Bobber beat hands down in every category, with only one possible exception. I like the 'looks' of the Scout's exhaust a little better on 'first' impression. But now that I own the Sportster S the up-swept pipes of the new Sportster is really growing on me.
    In all other categories, and I mean all, the power, torque, tech, comfort, lights, engine braking, forward controls, everything on the Sportster S is just better.

As for two up or can do it but the stock suspension on mine (2016 model) near a its limits since I'm a big guy (230lbs) and adding a passenger of whatever weight can be a little wonky, but not bad.

    • @thatoneguymoto
      @thatoneguymoto  Před 5 lety +3

      So, I wouldn't blame this on the bike at all, and in fact, if this bike had larger wheels with smaller tires, my wrist would have taken a lot more of the brunt of the jerk. A couple things, don't be like me and take one hand off the handlebar to check your blind spot. And secondly, be vigilant about using the 10 second rule and scan the road ahead. It was a large, but not deep pot hole, that caused the shake and I probably should have seen it coming.
      Thanks goodness I had enough speed that the momentum kept me going forward. If I had been going slower, I think I may have ended up on the pavement.
