The Rust is Gold Coffee & Racing guys love vintage desert sleds, dirt bikes and scramblers. With inspiration from the classic film On Any Sunday, and the classic desert sleds ridden and raced by Steve McQueen - Fenix takes on an ambitious project.
Can a true off-road, scrambler be built on a budget that can handle the tough New Mexico desert. Is the Royal Enfield Interceptor a solid enough foundation for a reliable desert sled? We're not talking "Street Scrambler", we're talking high pipe, aggressive tire, and off-road suspension.

Your Achilles tendon with your build is the 17in front wheel for offroad handling. A Himalayan front-end swap with its 21in front wheel would be perfect. 7:16 That is if it would fit and/or you can find one. Or at the minimum lace a 19in front wheel like the original sleds had. Just a thought on what I would do if I was going that route
You are 100% correct and that’s an issue that gets addressed as the build progresses.

Hey thanks for watching. I was able to make ADV pegs for the KTM 390 fit....mostly. Had to do a little grinding to fit them perfectly.
