the bobbin lasts forever until you realize the most perfect seam you just stitched actually was only so easy because the bobbin was empty after the first 10 stitches :)
Totally agree about side loading bobbins although I used a industrial machine for a while which had a bottom load bottom, I think that was actually worse
During my schools Fiddler production, I was tasked to make Chava’s dress and costumes in general, and that machine hated me I swear😭 I was so close to finishing and didn’t finish till like a week later bc the bobbin screwed up the needle broke 3 times in a row then I accidentally stitched the wrong things together because I looked at the wrong instructions-
Wouldn't the bobbin thread need to match the garment you are sewing, if the item being sewn is turned inside out? This part confuses me, or are you supposed to 😅sew on the right side of the fabric when hemming? Thanks

I felt this comment in my soul...
Whats wrong with side loading bobbins? Genuine question although i dont have one..
They're SUPER annoying and complicated to get set up...
@@StylishDTailors have you just never used one?

Man that sounds super frustrating!! I'm sure it all worked out in the end and the costumes looked great!
There is nothing wrong with a side loading bobbin. I use one every day.
Lies! They’re the Bane of my existence!
@@StylishDTailors I find the top loading ones hard to deal with but I've been sewing with side loading bobbins since I was a baby some 70 years now.
A bobbin will last a long time, unless you're making a quilt. I can go through 10 bobbins easily during that process!
Very true!
It lasts for a long time, untill the last stitch the last inch of the project . . . :c
It's like the bobbin gods know...

Yes you would want the bobbin thread to match your garment as well as the spool of thread at the top.
@StylishDTailors thank you, love all the great content!
