I've got an ep3 which was fairly cheap to buy and cheap to insure. Maybe one day...
Michael Douglas I don't know if they can be classed as cheap to buy, but my insurance is less than £350 with NCB protection and breakdown cover etc.
Pretty cheap, im 24 misses is 21 and its £500 for us. They are great cars but the ep3 personally is one of the cheapest cars for fun on the market. We've got a low mileage facelift and only cost me £3000. ATM I'd rather put the money into my mortgage but one day I'd love to own a ek9/dc5. We'll see.

I drive my DC5 like this all the time in San Francisco, has race header and a 3 inch exhaust. Breaking necks downtown is one of the most fun things to do

Brilliant video adam. the DC5 is a good looking car. It really reminds me of the e46 m3 where you really need to punish it to get the best out of it.
both cars haven't got any torque,but once you use those rev ranges the car comes alive and enjoyable yo drive. So in a way the DC5 is basically a M3 gahha
Nice work dude 👍🏻 I feel like there's a lot you wanted to say about how the car makes you feel but couldn't put into words. It's definitely an emotional feeling thing than something you can describe. I get that about my little EK4, it's just a gem of a car.
Have to agree with you on the looks side of things, Honda really made a good effort on their cars from 2001-2008 ish. The DC5 is the standout though...such beautiful looks and nothing short of perfect in Championship White.
You've done well to earn yourself a car like this...don't scare us again by considering selling it!

I just bought me a clean example of a DC5 special edition not even a type R and I really like the car. Going from DSG Golf R to a 5 speed manual gearbox is so nice. Yes the car lacks power but the driving experience is superb and I hope to keep the car to take out the K20A3 that is in it and replace it with the K24/K20a2 engine and 6 speed box in the future.

Had mine 5 years now and loved it. You were part of the reason I picked one along with seeing some at car meets.
Considering a change now as have some money to burn but all the newer stuff doesn't quite cut it. Maybe go for a e90 M3 instead..
Can't lie, whenever I get in mine I feel like a kid in a go kart, it's immense.

If you loved the oem steering wheel, you could have retrimmed it to oem spec - not too expensive and looks great.
If you love the DC5 mate you should try out the FD2. By far my favorite Honda.

great video! considering getting one of these in a month or so, the only issue i've heard people consistently talk about is the rusting due to it being a jdm car, is there many things you can do to combat this reliably?
