    Lemme tell ya it’s just as fun as he describes that type r he is driving.. I’ve owned my type s for going on 5 years now an just drove it across country.. everytime I crack vtec I still gives me chills🤷🏾‍♂️I’ve owned many of hondas and like he said there really isn’t anything out there like these💪🏽I love my dc5 type S even if it isn’t a type R😉

    How does this compare to the FN2 you drove?

    • @KiwiCarLife
      @KiwiCarLife  Před 4 lety +2

      FN2 is much nicer to drive - nowhere near as jerky and more comfortable, but this is definitely faster, revs higher and handles better thanks to a better suspension setup

    • @Unibeamm
      @Unibeamm Před 4 lety +1

      KiwiCarLife if you had to pick one for a daily driver which one would you pick, bear in mind to attack some track days on the weekends but still get you to university and some car meets.

    • @KiwiCarLife
      @KiwiCarLife  Před 4 lety

      @Unibeam Hmm tough choice, especially given they're both about the same price. I think if you got a DC5 you'd be a lot more popular at car meets, and it would be faster on the track, but I can testify that having dailied mine, it's pretty darn uncomfortable and tiring to drive every day. If I had to choose a daily, I'd probably say FN2 aye. If you do want to buy a DC5, wanna buy mine?

    dc2>dc5

    • @KiwiCarLife
      @KiwiCarLife  Před 4 lety +1

      You driven them? DC5 definitely has the superior engine. Handling is really down to personal preference. DC2 suits modifying due to the double wishbone suspension, but stock for stock, I would hope the DC5 is superior. Wouldn't be much use as a new model if it was worse than the old one! DC2's are still awesome though.

    • @abcwarrior91
      @abcwarrior91 Před 4 lety

      @@KiwiCarLife I have a itr dc2 and I have driven my friend dc5 blue like your one here both stock of cause and both Australia spec type R not the jdm one. The dc5 is more comfortable but that's not what type R is about its performance over comfort. The dc5 feels a little heavier then the dc2 cause it is there no denial that's a fact but it makes up for it for having a slightly bigger engine with more torque and power to get the car moving but u can really feel the differences in weight when cornering and for drag racing my dc2 eats my friend dc5 by 1 to 2 cars the Australian spec dc5 is a joke. The only good dc5 is the jdm spec cause it comes with the k20a 220hp that over 20 more horspower then the Australia version dc5 and over 30 more hp over the Australia dc2 which is only 190hp and 197hp for the jdm dc2. No shit the k series is superior to b series cause its a bigger engine but these cars a built for balance not for who has the most power straight line race and even with the jdm dc5 is only slightly fast then the jdm dc2 in drag racing. Think about it why is the dc2 consider a legend and the dc5 is forgotten cause the dc2 is better then the dc5 in every way apart from engine power and comfort lol (if that's what u want in a performance car). Just cause its a newer car doesn't mean its better then the older ones example look at the old crx and look at the newer crz thats suppose to replace the crx LOL even the delso crx is shitier then the old crx same for Toyota mr2 vs the spyder mr2, celica gt four vs the newer models celicas and so on and so on, sometime car company just design stupid shit lol don't get me wrong dc5 is a good car but dc2>dc5.

    • @KiwiCarLife
      @KiwiCarLife  Před 4 lety

      AUDM DC2 is better than AUDM DC5 sure, but JDM DC5 is definitely better than JDM DC2. Just look at the lap times around every circuit in the world!

    • @abcwarrior91
      @abcwarrior91 Před 4 lety

      @@KiwiCarLife yep that's all thanks to the k20a bigger engine=more power/toque for advantage in straight line acceleration, corner exist acceleration which is very important and better advantage going up hill. Dc2 is superior in lighter weight chassis/suspension wise and balance but that's not gonna be enough with our a equal power engine that's why when modification such as engines swap and stuff comes into play dc2 overall better.

    • @KiwiCarLife
      @KiwiCarLife  Před 4 lety
