Galatians 2:9, Paul states that Peter, James (Christ 's brother), and John were the "pillars" in the church in Jerusalem. No, Peter was not its single "head." Ephesians 5:23-24 says that Christ is the head of the church, and that is what He will save on the Last Day.

The word "Rock" is what they disagree with. We know from the Greek it is "Petros" and the word "Petra" is used secondarily. Christ is the messiah who is the PETROS, Jesus then says about Peter that he is PETRA. Catholics argue that the word rock is from the Aramaic. There is no proof that the Aramaic word for ROCK was used here. They say its "Kepha". This is no proof. Pay Attention here as the members of the RCC will use this first to argue their point for the authority from Rome. Was Peter the Rock? Or did the Lord mean "You are the messiah" as the ROCK he was speaking of?

Peter was not a pope.He was a sabbath keeping follower of Yeshua, not a Catholic .

If Peter ever saw what organized religion (Catholic and Protestant) have become, he would be totally shocked to see how far they’ve come from the truth. Peter was the chief apostle and he had the keys to open the church, first to the Jews in Acts 2, and then to the gentiles in Acts 10. So Peter did start the foundation of the church. It’s correct and proper to label him the Rock upon which the church was founded. But to say that he was the first Roman Pope (there being no evidence that he was ever in Rome) or that his apostleship made him above everyone else and worthy of worship is totally against anything in the scriptures.

This people are so bulldh*t to deny a church to have a specific leader after the ascension of Jesus!!! How can Jesus talk to Peter and referred to different rocks?

I contend that Saint Peter was the leader of the Christian Church. Jesus told Peter to feed my sheep. Also through the book of Acts, we continue to see the phrase Peter and the other apostles...... Protestants detest the idea because if that's true, they can not continue in their schismatic ways. Peter means stone, as in petrified. Catholics have a solid footing and 2,000 years of history.
