- it's 2023, and the 3DS eshop is finally dead. but what about all those games that came out in the console's final years, after everyone had already moved on to the switch? looks like it's up to me to tell you about all those late-life 3DS games (good and bad) that you may have missed. get ready, it's gonna be a long video.

Another absolute banger that made me literally laugh out loud several times. GameFreak should be more like Stel: quality over quantity.
The bro speaking facts about yo Kai watch the series is fun and creative plus yo Kai watch didn’t deserve the hate it gotten. The music slap especially the Lastest Nyanmurai. I always prefer yo Kai watch 2 over 3 because the designs and story is better. Also you can scan the medals where’s there’s a item called the master fruit where you can 100% get a chance to feed the yo kai and that yo Kai will be your friend
This video was great! I played a good number of these games on the list and enjoyed most of them. Other games that you mentioned I missed out on, but they look pretty good too for the most part. I'd absolutely say that the 3DS's Golden Age was from 2011-2014, but 2015, 2016, and 2017 still had some banger hits here and there. I love my 3DS a lot because of the games and the personality it had, two things that the Switch absolutely lack. The 3DS is definitely one of my favorite Nintendo consoles next to the Wii and the Wii U, and I think it had a great run! Thanks for making this video, Stel!😁👍
The Detective Pikachu movie was based upon the game, which came out a few years earlier in Japan before it did here, so no, it didn't copy the movie.

Good video but you forgot Sushi Striker. Oh and I don’t blame you for not talking about Yo-kai Watch Blasters, I spent YEARS trying to beat that game because it is so frustrating and then last month the data corrupted. It pissed me off alot considering I was in Chapter 9 at that point.
Only recently found you from your Pokemon videos but good God these types of videos are fantastic. Seriously, when you started talking about Etrain you had me in stitches, seriously you would be a great voice acto-oh wait you already are. Neat!

Goddamn, I had no idea about Yokai Watch. It is easily up my alley with what I saw in this video.
I feel you on the 3DS. It's got a similar place in my heart for getting me back into gaming at all after a lifetime of trauma. I still play my PS2 and PS1, and even some older computer games.
There's a trove of cool shit all over the place, even just focusing on 3DS. Btw, where is Denpa Men? I know, the video would be far too long. But it might be something worth a look if you haven't done so already.
For video games, I've largely been content with what I have and go diving into libraries and find something interesting. Plus I'm a poor fucker, and consoles have become less interesting over time for me. Even games have become less interesting to me, particularly with the trend of microtransactions, unfinished games on launch, and what's basically unregulated gambling (especially on mobile). I know there's good stuff still being made, but I largely just don't care. Indie games seem like a bright spot.

I actually bought my 2DS after Christmas 2016 which was during the end of the 3DS-era and I bought Yo-Kai Watch for it (and many other games for it).

I disagree that you say blaster isn’t that great because blasters is fun. I know everyone has different opinions which I don’t mind but blasters has one of the best soundtracks they dub opening of the Japanese version, the co-op is fun as heck, and the story has lots of charm. Plus blasters you can make friends in the game in a matter of seconds I honestly prefer blaster over 3 since half of the yo Kai watch designs are awful and I didn’t like Hailey Anne at all but overall great video
And to think I was about to pay for 3ds games before watching this video. Anyways I totally agree the 3ds just brings me so much more happiness than the switch does. Its probably just nostalgia but I would swear I've had more fun with the 3ds than the switch tenfold.

You should try Bravely Default and Bravely Second imo great traditional rpgs with awesome QoL and music.

FE Echoes has good writing, Persona 5 has bad writing, Samus returns is the best 2d metroid game and all the other ones are bad. This is like hot take city and I can't believe any of this. I guess I need to check out Yokai Watch

Then GU came out just for the switch and not the 3ds, I remember it causing a split at the time between fans.
Then the fans had another issue when world came out on larger home consoles, but they shut up about that pretty quick when they got hooked on how good it was.
(World/Icebourne is my favourite and I've been playing since the first game on PS2, it's just got the most satisfying mix of gameplay elements, primarily I think its the most satisfying rendition of how the hunting horn plays and that sells it for me. Chefs kiss).
4U is the most nostalgic for me since it's the one I spent the most time on growing up, going back to it now does show some CLUNK tho.

Unfortunately didn't own any of the Wii releases :(:( big sad cus they looked like they woulda been a lotta fun.
Gen, was hella fun, loved playing as prowler, kinda wish they'd let you do it again, but we'll see...
Plus aerial light bowgun with an explosive bowgun is fun as hell.

Hunting horn is major buffed sure, I love that people are picking it up and falling in love... but...
It's almost too easy, it's lifeless, and only having 3 songs, I dunno, the bonk ain't bonking, I liked how heavy and unwieldy the thing was, now that I think about it in hindsight...
Rise is nice.
