Komamura Sajin: THE LOYAL | BLEACH: Character Analysis
Vložit
- čas přidán 9. 04. 2021
- Sajin Komamura is the loyal captain of the 7th division, he is one of the first non human characters that we encounter within BLEACH. In this video my aim is to break down and analyse the character of Komamura, how loyalty perfectly describes him and how he is affected by the bonds that he has formed with several different characters within the BLEACH story. His loyalty lies with the head captain of the Gotei 13 Yamamoto Genryusai, and his friendship is with Kaname Tosen. In this video I go through how each of these relationships with Yamamoto and Tousen affect Komamura's character.

You did best doggo, how about best cat, Yoruichi?
Yoruichi shihoin of the stealth force pleaseeee
Filler-only characters If you think you can do something interesting with them.
@@Iamdeejoker I too want one on Yoruichi. She's the best and, befitting her assassin status, sure displayed that sinister side at the end of CFYOW. She's long overdue.
Yoruichi please
Komamura Sajin is incredibly underrated. Glad hes getting some love.
You said it, bruddah . . . .
💯💯💯
Who’s a good komomura? Who’s a good komomura? That’s right it’s you. Lol jk he is really cool
@@cdwarrior6582 I’m fucking crying 😭
But his bankia is kind of bad
That moment when Tosen can finally see and calls him ugly, and then cuts to Sajins eyes, really tugged on my heart strings. 😭😭😭
Despite that
Komamura sajin just wants to understand his friends
By putting himself in his shoes
He is like what Kubo says
He is a very loyal friend
That all of us wishes to have in our lives
I don’t even know why. He has no right to call komomura ugly when Tosen turned into a literal fly. 😒
i didnt thought you have one
Captain
@@georgyekimov4577 lol
The problem is that roused was blind until that moment so how would he know what’s ugly .
Komamura: I wear this helmet because I’m self conscious about my appearance and I fear the other Captains will judge me
Me: Dude have you not met Mayuri? Or Kenpachi? Don’t worry you’re fine
hmm... i think mayuri is a reason to keep that helmet on actually. how many fox/wolf people do you see walking around soul society? i think mayuri would take interest, but not in his appearance.
Yeah I don’t think he wants to be feared either, cause for sure those two are feared.
ive been holding this to myself for a while but I cant take it anymore...Kenpachis hair looks like a virus
@@pocketinfinity6733 this is late but I always thought the sillouhette of kenpachi's hair looked like a sea urchin, or one of those "pow" effects you see in comics or cartoons
Also, Renji's eyebrows exist...I would 10x stare at those over Komamura.
Sajin is basically one of those characters that advocates for friendship and peace, something that MC's usually are known for, but he does it in a way where its unique and acceptable. And hes not even the MC
Loved his shine in TYBW!
but he still realistic in a way that he knows that there are some people you just cant reason with.
Unfortunately he places his loyalty in a flawed and evil organization like the Gotei 13
Yes best doggo
Who's the good boy
Fax
He's da Best Boi
I admire how Kubo was willing to give Komamura a tragic ending. He is not a villain by any means, just a flawed character who was willing to let himself go too far into revenge. He was able to help his friend find redemption on his final moments, but nobody was there for him when he needed it.
One of the biggest theme of BLEACH and a PURPOSE for everyone specially Ichigo, which is probably one of the most important life lesson ever taught is " FINDING YOURSELF" as in to become the STRONGEST AND BEST VER. OF YOURSELF. Komamura perfectly portrayed it .
Honestly,
Not many series has characters like komamura sajin
That's focus about understand about yourself and others
Even in shonen anime or manga
Many authors just puts so much information about story instead of having character development at all
Especially the side characters
@@gwarguraqueentrickstarcoat9110 thats what i like about bleach.
Man I was really shooken up by Tousen gaining sight and calling Komamura "far uglier than he imagined". You could FEEL the betrayal and disappointment from Komamura. It was like being stabbed it really hit me hard even to this day. He truly was a good boy up until the end and I couldn't think of a better words to describe him other than loyal and unyielding. One of the most underrated characters for sure
I was like what? Tosin do you think you look good? Bug ass clown
He personifies the old samurai ethos of loyalty yet he's not afraid to do what's morally right even if some at the top will have a problem with that. His fair treatment of his subordinates is also admirable. In a way, his end of living on a mountain while being officially declared dead is fitting given what he underwent with Yamamoto's death and Tosen's betrayal. Still, given he does whatever it takes to protect others he is one Shinigami I'd trust with my life if Hollows ever appeared in my town and he is among Gotei 13's response. Oh and his Bankai is just plain epic.
Unfortunately he's loyal to an evil and flawed organization like the Gotei 13
@@A_Black_Sheep94 Komamura is not loyal to the Gotei 13 he is loyal to Yamamoto
I really love this character, I hope his fights with Bambietta gets animated pretty well, I want to see more Bleach Light novels for underrated Bleach Characters
Is that hinamori in your pfp? Wt...f? 🤣🤣🤣
I like hinamori but as far as I'm aware everyone else hates her. Tho lately I've been.seeing some fans of her apparently. Such strange phenomena
@@WeyardWiz I love Hinamori
@@Juan.Padilla1998 so strange considering the hate she gets 😂😂
@@WeyardWiz Why? I don't understand everyone hating Momo and Orihime. Sweet subby girls are the best.
It was great animated
Komamura is so straightforward in his resolve and morality, while many of the other characters have a twisted view of morality/justice/virtue. While that was their downfall, he was fully aware of his: revenge. He never danced around his strengths and shortcomings, which made him one of the most admirable characters in Bleach:)
Really like this character... I was somewhat sad when he turned into a wolf after all he did.
He looks like a fox than a wolf
@@RicardoPerez-rz8pu yeah i can kinda see that...but he is a wolf
Komamura is just really one of those characters you can't hate, he is so deep and poetic just like Tousen but sharing different philosophy . Love this character the going to watch the video to learn more.
@@josephmoore5422 kinda like your parents and friends hate you right mate ? Just kidding that's your opinion it's absolute shit but it's an opinion.
@@josephmoore5422 why?
@@josephmoore5422 hate is a strong word my guy, you have rights to dislike him but "hate him"? Idk
@@ludasrayjin1158 u have the right to hate any1 u want lol, its someones elses feeling not yours.
He's underrated as many have already said, but the ending of his character arc is especially tragic since the same pain and hatred in Kaname's heart wounded up consuming him. The acknowledgement of that apparent hypocrisy makes it sting more.
I'm actually crying because we could never possibly get yachiru saying, who's a good boy? You are bow-wow!, to Sajin in his pure animal form!
I love how in a show dominated by all these human and vulnerable characters the most human and expressive character is the one who's the least human I'm appearance. Komamura wears his heart on his sleeve and it makes him so delightful.
On my first readthrough of Bleach, I didn't think much of Komamura other than his cool design, but going back to the arcs, his fight against Tousen and his role during the TYBW arc are some of the events that have stuck with me the most in this series. Komamura ended up as one of the most tragic Bleach chapters.
Btw, Komamura's fate after the war was revealed in the We Do knot Always Love You novel. He is still sentient but cannot communicate with humans, however he is able to communicate with other members of his clan who can then act as interpreters.
tysm for sharing his future, that's reassuring
I find it extremely ironic that Tosen calls Sajin "hideous". A blind man meant to subvert the idea that "justice is blind" by turning it to "blinded by vengeance" litterally modifying his body into a monstrous to finally be able to see the world just to tell his former friend, a beast that hid itself from the world before finally accepting himself feels like Tosen took the inverse of Sajin's path. To the point that the only moment of clarity and truthfulness that Tosen expresses toward Sajin and Hisei is when this montrous form was defeated, allowing him to possess true sight for a few moments to finally cherish the only two friends he ever had.
Also, if I ever was a shinigami and saw Sajin, I would just want to hug him man. He's huge and fluffy, that sounds like a delight.
I completely agree
Dude I’d hangout on his soldier like pikachu
That's interesting how him losing his heart causes his bankai to lose all its armor. It's essentially showing Komamura completely exposed yet also shows someone whose thrown their protection away to become completely vulnerable with all their life force burning in their eyes to get a final blow.
Yet that final blow became a meaningless one
@@RicardoPerez-rz8pu that's revenge for ya
Komamura is one of the most underrated characters in bleach, glad that he's getting some respect
nah when Komamura calmed Ichigo down, it felt calming for myself as well. I really felt Ichigos despair lift from his shoulders in that moment.
I definitely have a lot of respect for him and frankly any of the Bleach characters
I see Kommamura in one word: vengeance. His clan was born from vengeance, his closest friend sought vengeance, Sajin himself was incredibly loyal and for that he sought vengeance. The dynamics Sajin had with other characters and his own personality just furthers a theme of Bleach: vengeance and justice are as difficult to separate from each other as a single voice from a crowd; moreover, the emotions and reasoning that leads to ideas of justice are also the roots of vengeance.
Its amazing how kubo makes eyes express so much
I think one of the most evocative and emotional frames in the entire manga is the stark contrast of the acceptance and finality in Komamura's eyes contrasted against the blank, soulless mask of Tousen. The way it perfectly shows their emotions, as well as their hearts is some of the best ive ever seen, Tousen literally being the embodiment of a soul consumed by revenge to the point of being a monster with no other emotion is just so striking when you see that sad acceptance of having to fight a friend in Komamura's eyes.
Komamura is perhaps the must underrated character in the series, and you really did a wonderful job with your analysis of him. Great work as always!
Reject monke, return to doggo
Sajin is an awesome character and is also one of favorite Captains too! Had one of the coolest Bankai’s. Dude was all-around Goated!
32:47 idk if it’s mentioned in CFYOW but in We Will Knot Always Love You it’s mentioned that he loves outside the squad 7 barracks and that he is incapable of human speech
After the Soul Society Arc. He was the first and easiest to forgive for his involvement is Rukia's (almost) execution. I like him a lot.
Komamura’s downfall is pretty rough to watch
Yeah it’s hard seeing a character like him get pushed to the point he kills himself in an act of vengeance
Honestly it's the bleach content, on how I found your channel! And it's your bleach ruined reputation video, that made me subscribe to your channel! Please keep your character analysis videos!
Wait, a wolf? He always looked like a fox to me.
A fox but like buff as heck 💪
good to see ur giving love to underrated characters some attention and love
I wonder if his squad mates started carrying around dog treats after his face was revealed.
I wonder if Komamura would be insulted or amused by that if they did 😆
another goated analysis
Great video as always. I wanna say that Komamura always was an interesting character to me, just as much as not just the other captains we hung out with like Shunsui or Kenpachi, but also the main cast we follow like Ichigo and Rukia. Komamura is a very underrated character and he is definitely in my top 5 favorite Bleach characters (begins my top 4 being Grimmjow, Aizen, Rukia, and number one spot Ichigo). I also realized as well just how much detail Kubo gave to Komamura, it’s something I have been noticing a lot lately, after reading Bleach a lot again, tracing the panels for practice and more, I find it incredible how human Komamura is with facial features.
Ps, sorry for bothering you a whole lot, won’t do it again.
Great video and I look forward to seeing more!!!
Thanks for doing this video involving the captain of the 7th division. I’m glad that he’s got some love. Speaking of Komamura, I’ve been working on a Bleach fanfic involving Komamura & Soi-Fon, and it’s titled “The Bond between the Wolf & the Bee”. My reasoning for creating the fanfic story is because both of them are underrated and not to mention they’re my favorite characters.
Interesting. Will give it a read
Kubo expressed the true love of a dog with this character! If you're a dog lover you well definitively understand him! Loyalty was his theme!
he's a wolf
@@J.c410 Well an wolf is still part of the dog family
I think we are ignoring the best part of komomura's bonkai
It has a glorious mustache
The best bleach youtuber does it again
komamuras end made me shed a tear when i first read it and being reminded of it this way had the same effect
Your content is gr8 m8
Also I love your videos!!!
I was waiting on this video. Komamura is one of my favorite characters. Glad hes getting some love.
Finally more bleach :D ty
Wait i just realised Aizen's cocon form was foreshadowed with tousen's mask...
An incredible underrated character. U did justice with the analysis man!
It's finally here!
I wonder who Sajin's grandfather sacrificed his humanity for; that is a story I would love to read.
I love his dynamic with tosen during there fight literally almost made me cry at the conclusion of there fight
Excellent video thanks, in fact Komamura is almost my favorite character, I change a lot and I thank him, I owe him one and I love him very much, I respect him a lot and I admire him.
And another thing, where do I get the colored sleeves, how do I get them and where?
Finally, my favorite character in the series gets some love xD
One of my fav characters
THANK YOU!!!!!!
My favorite Captain!! Komamura the GOAT✊🏾💪🏾. What Kubo did with him is painstakingly beautiful.
the most loyal and the most understanding yet one of the strongest general strength characters in all of bleach if anyone dares question his loyalty then they need thier heads checked the fact he is like this even though hating his appearance but he dealt with it all he is a wise captain and he damn well deserved a better finish to the human transformation from what i can see and understand i have not read the manga sadly im not a person for reading anything really especially any story stuff but i do love bleach and everything that was said about his character i got that impression of when i first saw him and kaname talking and when kenpachi was going to strike kaname
Komamura was one of my favorite characters. To see him come to such a state grieves me. Now so much his becoming a wolf, but giving in to revenge. Only a degenerate would _want_ to see a truly good man fall from Grace.
He was one of my favorite captains, its a pity we didnt see that much of him
Since I’m a big guy with an inner animal, I gotta have love for Kamamura!
What editing software do you use? Because this video looks amazing
Best doge boy! Wholesome :D
At 32:25 you say you see emptiness, but me i started tearing up, because all i could see is a profound sadness.
At first I didn't really care for him (Like most of the other captains) until I got to know him more that I started to see him in a different light and started to like him as a character. I would say he is one of my fav characters in bleach.
Komamura was one of my fav characters along with Kenpachi zaraki. Tbh it’s for totally different reasons but both characters have such explosive power
I didn't think I'd cry seeing Komamura die. He wasn't even my top.15 bleach characters
Komamura is the type of character who is used to show the strength of the antagonist.
Super poetic, super-deep and in the words of Kahn wasonason..... I think... "Super-good!"
Komamura is a very kind and stands up for what he believes in. Like to hear him speak though with him leaving his clan i can't blame him on this.
Love your videos! Could you please eventually cover Ikkaku? He is literally one of my all time favorites, and I’d love to learn more about him. Keep up the great work!
Sajin reminds me of Jinbe from One Piece. They are both honourable warriors, who are fiercely loyal to their leaders (Yamamoto for Sajin and Luffy for Jinbe) and both would sacrifice their lives for their respective leaders and their loved ones.
Can't wrap my head around the fact that every major bleach focused channel has no information whatsoever on the novels
It's mostly because (as far as I found) they don't have solid translations on the fan side and no official ones at all
A legend komomura shoulda been more shown in the anime
KOKUJO TENGEN MYO-OH!!!!!!
Komamura: the goodest of bois! Probably my favorite captain after Kenpachi!
While i love his whole theme and appearance,I kind of wish we got more of helmet komamura while being a captain. That helmet just looked so cool and ominous!
That aside, definitely one of the more underrated characters in bleach!
Bro you gotta do Hisagi next
1.8k likes and 6 dislikes, that’s one hell of a ratio. Great vid.
YASSSSS!!! #TOSEN!!! Love how he says it in Japanese. He was one of the best moments in the 1000 year blood war. Very tragic what happened to him at the end but we all knew the consequence of him releasing his true bankai.
Nice video! But you should listen to Tousen very closely.
It's not Kom, it's Ko-mom how you say his name
Underrated Captain
Wish he was around for longer hes a cool character
Will you do a Analysis on Orihime Inoue ?
Yes very soon!
Crazy theory: Sajin's Great Grandfather was part of the OG Gotei 13. Remember, they were all bandits and outcasts back then so status and "race" didn't really matter.
It makes sense because the reason that he became a werewolf was the sin commited by his ancestors that they were sent to hell but we're brought back to the soul society and became werewolves
Can you tell me were you found the colored version of the Bleach manga? I've been trying to find it for a long time, and still can't.
Sajin is such underrated character
3:22 he demonstrates his kindhearted nature to those around him, picks up a guy from his head with one hand and with one arm throws em'
Favorite Captain
aaaaay new profile pic though the old one was cool too
Can you do a video analysis about Zangetsu?
Most underrated captain
can we get an analysis of my waifu yoruichi next
I half Expected the Title would be “The Doggy”
XD
I vote for Yasutora Sado as next vid!!
The moral captain.
Its inevitable, but must be considered that Justice, *is* revenge. Its scattered out there on the backs of others, kinda like karma that we put out into the world, but in ways that's why he was destined to that fate. Some could argue the difference between justice and revenge, but this is all just ways to postpone the understanding of that connection. Justice itself implies the judgement of others ill acts and accrues punishment based on those acts in order to bring a type of wholeness back. You can call that mechanic anything you like, but at the end of the day, its revenge. The main difference is when you replace the word revenge with justice - but everything else stays the same. It could also be argued that another difference is feeling animosity or anger DURING the balancing, which is actually a pretty relevant detail. But if no one wanted revenge, there would be no seeking for balance, so it would cancel out. Anger, in some form is required, its the fuel necessary to even push the motive ahead. If there were no anger, eternal forgiveness for even the most heinous acts, no one would seek balance, and therefore diffuse justice entirely. Then justice would be kinda like a mechanic you follow but don't understand. Anyway i'm rambling
Him and Urahara are my fav characters
Always liked his character
