STREAM BLACK SWAN!!! - Zábava
We filmed this on 2/29/2020 before the pandemic lockdown in CA and also, before BTS came out with a surprise video for Black Swan. Thanks for watching!
Love the 1st performance on CORDEN
Good to always hearhis opinions,this
song's a masterpiece....Wonder what
the new song wl sound like? Excited!
Stay safe/healthy !!💜
One of your best reactions!💜
Now we've got DYNAMITE coming & ICONIQ for Hyundai, new album October & on-line concert! Excited..We need to (English) DHNAMITE most streamed & viewed song ever!!💜
Christopher’s reaction, appreciation, and analysis of BLACK SWAN art film version is the love that it deserved. I’m by no means knowledgeable about classical music or art.... but at the time when reaction channels were all reacting to it, so many seemed to be very challenged by both the musical arrangement and the contemporary dance and I couldn’t understand their response to it. When I first watched it, as soon as the strings started up I was sold, I was just “yes! Yes! Yes! This! Is! It!!”. Even the point about about their voices being processed to the point that it was difficult to tell members apart made sense to me. It made me think it had a similar quality to strings playing together. I’d love it if we were ever to get the string version on an album
WE WILL THAT VERSION INTO EXISTENCE!!
The Spotify Black Swan makes me think of the frustration of daily life. The struggle of dealing with day-in-day-out. Going to school, the hospital, dealing with senior members of your profession, disappointing social interactions, feeling stuck, feeling inadequate, feeling unprepared, feeling worthless.... The ho-drum and attempting to climb the mountains anyway. It's a very much 'BTS aesthetic' -- being stuck in a system out of your control and our journey within, with, against it.
The Orchestral Black Swan is in a realm far away, a different plane, one that exists within my internal self. This is who I am on the inside. This is my fears and my tendency for dissociation and both my safespace and weakness that I escape to, to centre myself from the real world. Yeah, it feels cinematic, because cinema is emotional escapism at its greatest, and this version is that emotional escapism, being swept away by the breakers within me, because I can't stand being in the real world anymore, or I couldn't hold on any longer.
I appreciate both deeply. I like the orchestral version more tho. Because that's me. And because maybe that is also a lot of the 'why' of BTS, where the other version is more the 'what' of BTS.
WOW. Thank you so much for sharing your story and part of yourself with us. I love it and you!!
I’ve never had someone put to words my thoughts and feelings perfectly. I understand 150% what you feel and believe in the comparisons of the song and i couldn’t put to words exactly what i felt and heard and you did it perfectly
I undergo the same feeling and situation like yours. Especially suspecting you also work in medicine field. And you words just make me realized the feeling i could never expressed. such an enlightment.
This reaction just proves what a power house Big Hits production staff is. Shout out to Big Hits.
Yes - BigHit is amazing!
I really like when he reacts too, very insightful reactions. I basically like all your friends reactions they all bring something different
Thank you so much!
I love both versions of the song very much. That's why I'm sad that the art film version isn't available on Spotify as well. The Spotify version is chill and you can dance to it. And the string version makes me an emotional mess, but it's truly beautiful. But I can see why they released the 2nd version, because from the reactions on CZcams I could see that it was a bit "too much" for them somehow. But I've always been a fan of strings, they always hit differently for me. And in combination with the dance company. Just perfect 🥺
Yes, I am so bummed they don't have a performance version of this song for purchase!
I am deeply sad orchestral black swan is not available on the album. Maybe my favorite BTS song. I would have preferred it to the Sia remix!
From your lips to BH's ears!!
I'm Vietnamese and I could say that "Mắt Biếc" became a phenomenon in Vietnam in the end of 2019
I love how he responded emotionally to the end of the art film version, even though you had been pausing and analyzing. Just that last bit is powerful enough for that. I always become emotional.
Yes!! It is such an emotional song!
I truly appreciate how Mr. Wong approaches these reactions with curiosity and an open mind. He is an accomplished musician and is never dismissive or judgmental. It seems he recognizes all kinds of music have value and serve a purpose. I followed the links to hear some of his work and he is so skilled at evoking emotion with sound. Thanks Virginia, for sharing your lovely friends with us 💜
You are so welcome! Thank you for checking out Chris’s music! He is amazing. :)
It was wonderful witnessing Christopher's response to the arrangement, especially the strings, as well as your initial reaction to the track and how it developed and changed. As a lover of contemporary dance, Martha Graham in particular, and of strings I loved it from the outset.
Thank you so much!! This is the reaction I wanted everyone to watch because Chris just gets SO excited. He even asked me for the track a few days later. :D
Glad to see another Martha Graham lover. I went to Bennington College and the moment when I saw the quote on release day I knew that the art would have a special place in my soul.
Love getting his impressions! He should listen to Lie. 💜
Yes! I think I showed him the Lie videos a few years ago - especially ReacttotheK’s analysis so IDK if he remembers lol. :)
I don't know if this makes sense but my theory was that the orchestral version is more like realization of loss of passion so it's like a more dramatic realization
The second version is more like an acceptance by the members that these kinda thoughts (shadows) are part of them and in a way embracing it
Also the orchestral version having vocals so undistinguishable is more like the 7 of them having one voice. More than a single member going through that kinda realization it's the group as whole...
Black swan for me is one of BTS's masterpiece..
I didn't like it at first but now it has become one of my fav BTS songs
Yes, I agree too!
I am so happy I found these🥺all the convos I want to have,l🔥🔥🔥Thank you. The Art film haunted me long after I watched it, it made me go to a very uneasy place and I only realised a day later, and that the power of Art and BTS is masterful 🙏💜thanks for both your insights.
Sam Mkhize Thank you so much for watching!!!! So grateful you found my little channel. :) Enjoy!
Gotta thank my late night internet-wandering to find this lil' jewel of a video x)
Really liked the reaction ! Also the points he explained of when producing music for a scene were very interesting ! Really makes you think of how the art film version was put together.
Also concerning missing the strings in de "pop" version, I have exactly the same thing !! In my case i fell directly in love with the "classical" version (thanks mom for conditioning me with classical music since i forever xD), so when I heard the other version, I liked it, especially with the Asian string instrument, but it was missing something. It felt a bit "static" compared to the string version which was so emotional.
Thank you for the interesting video !
I have to agree with him! The previous version is tragic, the strings allows us to feel the intense struggle of surviving the “first death.” It does leave you on the edge of your seat hoping for the Swan’s survival.
Best Black Swan reaction! I love his input. I hope they will release the orchestral version later. 😢 I need it.
Awww, thank you!!!
The fact that this doesn’t have more views is ridiculous to me!!! His insight is invaluable and so interesting to listen to! Thanks for making this happen C:
You should really let Chris watch BTS Ddaeng 4th muster behind the scenes so he can see BTS producing Ddaeng and their reasoning for the chords and sounds they used.
Thanks for the suggestion!
@@MandarinMama Oh- Okay so I just realized I posted this comment under the black swan reaction haha I was watching all of the reactions at once so- Either way, thank you for replying :)
Really enjoyed this reaction. Thank you.
Very nice reaction. Thanks for showing both versions. 😊👏👏
You're very welcome! Thank you for watching. :)
I really appreciate your reaction video showing many different people's reaction who have different interests in various field. and I respect you have so much friends!! and your try as ARMY! : )
Thank you so much for your kind words!!💜💜💜
Enjoyed the reaction. Very interesting!
Yes, you're right about the violins, using the back of the bow instead of the strings to "play" the violin.
Loved this! I'm guessing you recorded it a wee while ago - we're Social Distancing in the UK, and you'd need to be sitting 2m apart! wouldn't be the same at all.
Lol. Yes. We filmed back in February. :)
Very cool and intellectual commentary. Film and theater nerd. So I get this.
When I first saw the art video, I didnt like the edit of the dance. I feel like I spend too much time away from the dance and miss some intricate movements. But I'm a judgy B as a filmmaker. I would still love to see a different edit.
People can @ me. I'm grown. I studied film. I make film. And dance is my fav genre. I stand firm in my views. Lol.
I do like the tonality and dissonance it creates. Anyhoo, thays my two cents from a Forever Young Army.
I keep thinking of starting. BTS is Theatre page. IDK if anyone would be into that.
I’m sure people would be!! Do it!!!! And you’re allowed to have your informed opinion!!! Anyone who says otherwise is wrong. Lol. 💜💜💜
@@MandarinMama You nice. Keep going!
Now I remember when Disney releases a movie they would have the movie version of the OST and a pop version of the OST.
Wait, if im not heard it wrong... he said Mat Biec right ???? That movie was BIG in Viet Nam. Thats so cool !!!
Jimin's Bish YES!! You should check out his YT channel - he breaks down some scenes he composed for his films. :)
I am checking his YT channel right now and WOW 😳
Isn’t he great?!?!
Slovenian dance company, I believe it was in the first video.
Btw are any of the films or series he worked on available on Netflix? I would love to hear his work ^^
Check out his links in the description. :) I have his Spotify channel as well as his IMDB listing so you can see on Netflix which of his films are available. :)
Same I’m really interested in his work ! He seems so insightful and i love his input and commentary
Omg, thanks for asking cuz I was trying to search huhu
