I am living in Dubai more than 16 years. I couldn't find a cinnamon which we can compare with Sri Lankan cinnamon. Same thing with tea also. Most of the 5 star hotels are using Sri Lankan tea to keep their customers happy
It's because Cinnamon is native to Sri Lanka, Ceylon Cinnamon is the best in the world as per google

Yes machan I agree I live in Belgium I get my cinnamon from my family in Sri Lanka but we really taste the difference for example in belgium everything is expensive compared to other European countries especially if you want good or organic food I miss my sri Lanka I will return one day
@@lilasianthug cheers bro. Some people feels like Sri Lankan stuffs are expensive compare to other countries, but I never compromises that when buying spices such as cinnamon, cardamom, cloves ect. Most of the tourists never know about Sri Lanka due to our poor marketing methods, however I feel like we should market our values rather than just selling something to them.

It was nice to see the gentleman explaining the process of transforming the green tea leaves right from the plantation to the final product that comes before us to sip and of course the age of the machinaries which are imported. That was very informative.

If Mr Herman Gunaratne is whom I’m thinking then he used to be brigadier in the army before moving back to his family business. He wrote a great book called “for a Sovereign state” with great insight as to how the war in SLstarted and how it was negated from loosing total control.
