Most of the pictorial rugs that are sold at the bazaars are machine made synthetic silk, this is why there are so many of exactly the same rugs in different stores all over Iran. China and Iran are the main producers. If you bend the rug and fibers in the pail of the rug are standing up, it is synthetic silk, if the fibers are lying flat it is natural silk. NOT ALWAYS 100% ACCURATE, but it is a good start. I'm surprised that they didn't give an explanation when you asked why these rugs are so inexpensive, but on the other hand, they didn't try to charge like for real silk, hand made rug.

Davud, this is personal for me, my son Aiden is Autistic, I thank God he was born in NYC, USA. Where he has access to all his medical needs. He is now 19 , but he's never had a friend his age. He recently started going to church with his mom and now he likes to volunteer in the church. I guess they show him love, so he feels comfortable being around them. His own cousins his age don't like to be around him. So I've stopped visiting them. Thank you Davud for helping the children.
