Jawa 350/639 - Original Dashboard Build (HD)

We will rebuild the dashboard together to its original 639-type, as the bike came with 640-type dashboad. The 639 components are old, restored / painted, originally bought from some advertisement server from a guy that sold his 639 on parts. Originally there was a plan to use an electronic rpm gauge, but it was find out, that it's dead, so we can look at very quick assembly of the original old rpm gauge in this video too :)

- M8 bolts with shims

- bulbs for check lights 5W preferably, if you want to see them on day light

Pity you can't replace the horrid LCD nonsense on modern Jawas!

Don't know the new Jawas, but why can't you? Are there no outputs for the driver cables for the gauges on the engine?

@@REBUILDLab there's no mechanical drive for tach or speedo. My LCD stopped working altogether because cheap Chinese rubbish so now I rely on my Beeline in speedo mode. Btw I've just found out that the large nut on the sprocket side of the back wheel only needs to be hand-tight. It strips its thread very easily

That's pity, sorry to hear that. Well maybe you can install some aftermatket gauges that works electronically and looks a lot like the oldschool gauges...and they tend to have the control lights built in, the holders are supplied togerher with it. But that is a lot of work. There are also nice gauges that shows rpms with a needle pointer, speed with a small display, control ligths also built in. Or you can buy a used old engine...but that is crazy of course. Again, piťy, but maybe one can see it as a possibility for customizing 👍
