PRAWN TOAST RECIPE (so easy!) 🍤🍞✨
Here’s the crunchy, juicy and easy prawn toast recipe as promised 😌✨
A Chinese Yum Cha classic and something that’ll surely impress friends or just a great snack to make in under 15 min.
Recipe:
6 slices thick bread (crust removed)
250g prawns (shelled and cleaned)
2 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
Pinch white pepper
1 egg white
3 tbsp sesame seeds (raw)
200ml cooking oil for frying
Japanese Mayo to serve
Smack and chop prawns into a paste (I like a little chunky still for texture).
Season and mix in the egg white in a circular motion, the paste will get thicker as you mix. Spread the paste on your sliced bread and cover the top with sesame seeds.
Fry the prawn toast in shallow oil for about 1.5 min each side at 170C (or when the chop sticks bubble in the oil).
Serve with mayo and ENJOY!
