I have a 2012 chevy sonic that was dripping oil slowly from just below where the oil filter screws into Once I got the engine warm the oil started to reach the exhaust and boy did that burn smell get toxic each time I drove it, even smoked some. After using Bar's with my oil change , I noticed about a 40 percent difference in the smell. It was less smelly/burning. I would say that after about 2 weeks I couldn't even smell the burn anymore. By month end , I forgot I had even had a leak. I changed my oil again about 2 months later and added another bottle with the oil. Both the leak and burning smoke smell have never returned. In my opinion , this stuff really works.
Best of luck brother. So far so good for my sonic. After the second oil change I started using half the stop leak bottle. Its been about 3 oil changes now. Please update in about a month or so. @@JBotts
I don't have an oil leak but I burn away more than I want to so I tried it out about a 1/2 hour ago so I'll give it a run tomorrow. I've already let it run for 20 minutes. I promise much. mine online so I got it for $12 instead of 30.
It’s so easy to take off a valve cover, just get the gasket and replace it. If you’re mechanically inclined it will take you an hour tops. I have never done one cleaned mine on my 6.2 gm i had it off in 10 minutes. Cleaning took way longer but you’re engine will love you
Dont use it. Its a stop gap. This stuff expands your seals...in a bad way. Use enough an it will destroys all of your seals gunks your system. They work for a few months at a cost.
All stop leaks will destroy your seals. Only use if you dont love the car. I learned this years ago. 1000$ fix is worth it. A 10 dollar fix will end in multiple stressed seals an leaks over time

Going through this now. Same issue, just added the stop leak. Hoping for the same outcome!!

Hey I've got a 2003 Escape that's leaking little drips too. How is this working for you after 2 months? THanks!
Bars sent me a bottle for free so I’m going to try it and see if it works.
Does your car runs smoother
this does not work for my valve cover leak, i have to replace my valve cover☹️

Over time meaning how long?
Within the past five years, I've already gave my 05 Volvo XC 70 with 255k miles enough money so I'm done. $10 repair is all she's getting right now.
