Comments: My very last AA MD-80 flight. I had some amazing memories on them and they will be dearly missed by me. This was one of my favorite takeoff's on the MD-80. - Auta a dopravní prostředky
That start up sounds like something straight out of a star wars movie
My most favored thing about riding the MDs, were actually listening to the Pratts at taxi. As you apply power to get it rolling, they'll give this lil whine, along with a deep bass tone... then as they roll and reduce back to idle thrust, it just winds down. I dunno why, but I absolutely loved it as a lil kid and to this day.
Love the mad dog 80
That was a classic and amazing takeoff and climb. I enjoyed the video. I will Miss these old planes. I wish American managed to keep them longer. If i ever had enough money to start my own airline i would buy old md80s and renovate them and return them to the skies.
Miss these planes I used to load them up and working with them on a daily basis at delta airlines. The only thing holding the nose gear wheel to the hydraulic gear is a cotter pin I used to have to remove before flight pin before takeoff on that gear it’s a double wheel on the nose of this plane the nose of the plane is so low to the ground like crazy low lol
That was so cool to see a 737 landing parallel while on the take-off roll...👍
Wow nice video! I love the MD-80/90 family.
Me too! Thanks! :)
Awesome video! I've flown on that plane in that seat before! Wonderful!
Thanks! :)
A lovely dance begins at 21:00 as a lander joins in!
Was some great timing.
Love Mad Dogs...spent lots of time on them. Love sound of P&W JT8's
Same here! Really miss flying on them.
What a growler
Stunning video man!
Thanks! :)
Love the video
Thanks! :)
Nice video! Also at 0:18 the flight captain's name sounds very familiar to me for some reason.
20'40" take off roll
21'45" rotate
Did the video really have to cutoff while that steward was talking?
Camera automatically stops a video at 29:00 no matter what sadly.
