My original xbox one keeps disconnecting the wireless controllers would u happen to know why and what I can do to fix it .I tried the controller on another xbox and it works fine

Regarding your question, the module @6:40 the one over the metal case that has a wifi cable needs to be replaced my friend.
we do get this issue in the store and we replace the module and issue resolves.

Regarding your question: If you remove the heatsink from the CPU, then YES you must re-apply the paste else it will shutdown after one or two min and the fan noise will be very loud.

Can I clean my xbox even if I don't change the thermal paste?

Regarding your question: you can clean the xbox for dusting without any problems BUT make sure you do NOT remove the heatsink from motherboard else you will have to repaste.
so as long as you don't remove the heatsink you can clean up without issues.
