    That's a great impression and gear presentation my friend .... I enjoyed the show !
    I've watched your other videos and this is one of the best ones... I've learned some stuff : )
    I will be presenting my own WW2 U.S. Army gear displays on Veteran's Day coming up on Nov. 11th.
    Only if I'm successful in preparing the stuff I need for the show... if not able to, well maybe by
    next year's Veteran's Day.... once again your impression was great : )

    6:07 Cross the straps of the gas mask bag like an X on your back. That will keep it from sliding off. That’s how the soldiers did it.

  • @MGarandRiflemen
    @MGarandRiflemen Před 3 lety +4

    I usually put the bandolier on first. When ever i put the gas mask on I criss cross it. It stays on better that way. Plus Double buckles weren't issued during the Normandy Invasion you don't start seeing them until Oct-Nov 44. Most of the guys that got the fresh gear were the replacements.

    • @virgil.101
      @virgil.101 Před 3 lety +1

      bandolier goes on last. You can tighten it up with a knot or a safety pin (Originals will come with one)
