Started off as a commander only player but because of your channel I've opened up to a lot of different formats in magic. Thanks.
Im commander only, what formats have you adopted?
His videos made me a believer in limited.
I love this series and would hate to see it go! Maybe limit the release to every two weeks if the video doesn't get that much views. That way, you'd keep the fans of the series appeased while experimenting with a better video format.
I also imagine you'd run out of great decks to feature and have no choice but give Splinter Twin a video. Haha
Dang I hope this series keeps going, it's my favorite thing on the channel
Knight of The Ebon legion is the real champion of the deck. Anyone who's against it with an opponent having mana up knows they can't have anything better than a trade, for a 1 drop, it's pretty insane.
This series is great. Keep up the great work.
I love when you do videos focusing on the History of MtG - have you considered something like "History of Standard" where you explore specific formats from years past? That could be really interesting and a fun nostalgia watch.
I'm sorry to hear these are doing poorly 😔 I quite enjoy them, as I love Magic and always did, but never kept up with its competitive scene (nor do I do it now), so it's nice to learn all of this stuff, and you explain it very well.
Oh god, an MTG youtuber who CAN pronounce "viscera" right!
Ikr. Unfortunately, we have yet to see one who can pronounce Kamigawa card names at any meaningful capacity.
I only can because there was a WWF wrestler named Viscera back in the day hahah
And Orzhov too!
@S V Ravnica, the plane, is based in real world Balkan countries like Croatia and Serbia; so, in the Slavic languages, zh is read like "sure" in "measure".
@S V Just do a little research by yourself!
Noooo Im loving the deck history videos so far :c
Im already looking forward to the spirits one since I want to build a pioneer spirit deck
Please continue the series!
Nooo! I want the series to continue!
My first deck was a Black Red vampire deck around Zendikar when I started playing.
As a noob, imagine the shock on my face when someone told me a similar version of my deck was in a top 8 spot.
I have loved the vampire tribe ever since.
Screw the numbers, man. These are great! You keep it up.
Nizzahon, I'm sorry the series isn't doing well. I think I've watched every episode of it.
The best history of mtg channel out there!
I've always loved your mtg history videos and I hope you don't cancel this series. The ban list history was awesome and I hope you keep going with deck history's. Atleast put out a splinter twin video before you cancel
The dedication to this Channel is amazing keep up the good work!
Definitely excited to see what Crimson Vow has is store.
I like this series. It reminds me of the Ban and Restricted list series.
love this series
I love the deck histories! Please continue them!
Love these history videos! Even when my vote doesn’t win I’m always hyped to hear how these decks evolved over the years. Honestly kind of surprised vampires took so long to take off- when I first started playing back in New Phyrexia I thought vampires were ‘broken’ 😂
Also, am I bad at English or does Duskborne Skymarcher have a grammatical error in its flavour text? Don’t think I’ve ever seen that kind of mistake on a Magic card before…
There's no grammatical error. "Is come" is an archaism, but it's generally accepted as an alternative to "has come" if an archaic effect is intended.
Love this series! I like to learn more about history of decks.
Yessss... I was looking forward to the Vampire deck one.
Yes! Been waiting for this one :)
I want continue of Deck history videos
I played br vamps when tutelage was in standard, it was a lot of fun to play
Many thanks for the video! I was a bit disappointed with Midnight Hunt's vampires - personally I found them a bit weak( then again, MH focus was mainly werewolves). I hope crimson vow is going to provide us with a few actually good vampires for standard.
I think that if Vampires do become viable in Standard, there are a couple of cards in Midnight Hunt that will be pretty great -- in particular Falkenrath Pit-Fighter and Vampire Socialite. But yeah, going to need a lot more vampires in Standard to make them good.
love all of your videos
I really enjoy your Deck History series. Its given me more context on why competitive decks are made up the way they are.
Not sure what would improve the analytics for the series. :(
I love vampires. I've been running a mono black vampire deck for ten years now, and it has evolved very similarly to how this video played it out (save the nonblack cards). Vampire of the dire moon is now my favorite one drop in the game, it sucks she didn't get mentioned.
My favorite Vampire decks are Giovanni Power Bleed and Ventrue Law Firm.
And catching up on this one too! :P
Vampires went from unsupported to supported because it switched from iconic (big and few) to representative (small and numerous).
Great vid
With planeswalking no longer being only for planeswalkers “what if the Markov family started taking over other planes?”
when you had highborn out and they thought a field whipe was the move
I still love the homeland's edition of Baron Sengir, still slip him into any vampire tribal I assemble.
I don't. He's way too overcosted. Sure he's one of the few good cards in Homelands, but that says very little.
@@blackknightjack3850 true but here's some tricks I can pull off to get around his casting cost. I still hope one day Ugotha is revisited, would love to see how the plane has fared after a timelapse. Hell I still have the small trade comic of the set.
If Gabriel Nassif is anything to go by, Crimson Vow might have actually churned out a tier 1 vampire deck.
You should do a history of Superfriends deck and another suggestion would be Niv-Mizzet Reborn, I'm pretty sure NIv-Mizzet Rebron is too early since he was released a year ago
Damn it will be sad if this series gets cancelled before we get the Splinter Twin history...
Just had to say that I'm glad spirits lost in the vote since that tribe feels more evergreen. I actually don't know anything about vampire tribal aside from losing to some fringe mardu build in 2010 standard at states. This channel rocks.
Shout out to Insolent Neonate and Olivia Voldaren for being vampires that were dominant during standard.
It would be neat if instead of a deck history, sometimes you do a format history. Like origins of commander or something. Just a thought. Love the content, keep it up!
I actually did a podcast episode of that once. Look up "Commander prehistory"
@@NizzahonMagic will do
NOOO I LOVE DECK REVIEWS
i miss my bloodghast sanginue bond blood tribute nighthawk deck :(
Will you ever look at the Historic format?
"I'll have to listen to my viewers and come up with something that appeals more to them."
That's a very inventive way to say "I'll use the comment section to justify a Splinter Twin video if the Community poll continually bands together to vote it down."
I would like to see the sideboard for these decks.
Tough to fit it in with the deck lists, would be far too cluttered.
Fitting, since it's the day before Magic: Twilight Saga officially begins!
Who doesn't like this series? It's great
Its Splinter Twin right?
Tbh i haven’t been on the deck history vids cuz I don’t really care about formats like modern and vintage or legacy. Edh and standard/historic are accesible thanks to arena and edh being the best format that is non rotating. I watched the spooky deck history ones though cuz tribal stuff is always cool.
Most of these videos involve a lot of Standard and Historic.
For once, first. Thanks Nizzahon!
Tip to get viewers back. Just get Twin done already!
Why do you always post in the middle of the night?
Man, people aren't watching the deck history videos much? That's kinda weird. Maybe you just have a loyal limited format viewership
No, my Top 10s are my best performing videos, so it isn't Limited only.
I am in 2023, and i hope later this year they givevrealsupport to vampires on caves of Ixalan because the midnight hunt and crimson vow showed the dick to vampires and werewolfs...
Me: *Sees the video*
Nice, a vampire video
*skips right to Ixalan*
*stops right after Ixalan*
Good video!
: )
These Vampire decks kinda suck.
