Pro tip: the best protection you can do - and I’ve done this with several iPhones, and 2 12.9 iPad pros... is to buy an otter box, remove the plastic screen, and use a tempered glass screen under it. Once you remove the plastic, the tempered glass will then fit. Make SURE the plastic section matches your screen protector in size ( it should ) then put the front cover on. A Verizon employee showed me this trick years ago. Best of both worlds!
Can you remove the plastic protector to use a Paperlike screen protector under it? I will mostly be using mine for digital illustration and I wanted the paper texture protector so it was a turnoff for me to see that the case has a plastic protector, for it would render the Paperlike's texture useless.
I’ve done that with my iPhones and it worked well, I wonder if it would also work with iPad Pro 5th gen 12.9. Has anybody tried it? If so, what screen protector did you get?
I have this case on my iPad pro 12.9 3rd generation. I dropped it four times on concrete. Used it during auto mechanic work. My little cousin (4 year old) dropped it while running with it! My iPad is still in great shape! No cracks no damages no bends! I love this case.
No matter how ugly and bulky they are, these are damn good cases. I have one on both my iPhone and iPad Air. I take them out periodically and clean them but they are in flawless shape and I am by no means gentle on my devices. I have and always will stand behind Otterbox.
I bought this case for my iPad Pro in hopes it would help with bending. I was having issues with my screen changing with out touching the screen. Seem to help for a while but now the screen is doing it again. This is a tough case, worth the money. Just sad that this did not fix the problem.
thanks for the great review! i wanted to ask, can the built in screen protector be easily removed? for those who prefer not having a screen protector but just the case itself. thanks!
Thanks for sharing. I like the the rubber enclosure but what is the material that comes into direct contact with iPad? And can the plastic screen protector be removed?
