My 7yr old son just got a 64gb 9th generation ipad with an Otterbox Defender case, dropped off at our house(through his NDIS funding)to help him with his; speech, interacting in real world situations and for basically everything. I didn't want to give it to him without the case on it, but COULD NOT GET THE CASE OPEN!!! Your video was the superhero! I NOW feel confident and comfortable giving it to him; being inside the otterbox securely. Thank you!

Thanks, I was perplexed about how to get the silicon seal off. I didn't have a screwdriver or coin but the Lego wedge I had handy did a great job, and being plastic there was less risk for damage if I slipped. That's my top tip. Oh and my case has two extra clips.
just opened case and i cant even put it on ipad because it already has DUST all over it and i can not get it off, and i washed it with water and now i think i gave my brand new ipad water damage

I’ve had many Defender cases for iPhone over the years, but call me dense……I couldn’t figure out how to stand my iPad up in the hardshell cover! Thx 😳

If it looked that bad then either you got a used one or a Chinese knock off and it’s not a real Otter Box. Hope you got it on Amazon.
I cut my finger on the box, putting the stand on the inside of the case makes zero sense.
