Thanks for sharing, Guys! You've sure taken a lot of the mystery out of re-bushing the front suspension of a '55 Chevy! I appreciate the warnings about the dangers of coil springs, as well! Always remember that "job one" is to have the same number of digits at the end of a project as you had going-in! Be safe!

Hey guys next time use threaded rod from lower control arm thru spring, then go thru upper shock hole! Works every time! Use the biggest threaded rod you can that still fits thru upper shock hole....

Liked you guys showing how to do a job that might scare off the timid person on working on front end when you do not have a lot of money invested in tools That 55 sure need some loving with that LS engine and a wore out front end. Great video and grandkids like Casey helping like mine do by just watching.

Polyurethane rides too rough. Replacement OE rubber will make a world of difference all its own. I don't use a pickle fork for anything....they are SHIT. If not tearing up boots, they can tear up shit around it. Always whack the the area of the joint or spindle (where the taper is) with a sledge hammer (nut on place at the end of the threads). Works like a charm every time, and doesn't destroy anything but a little paint if its fancied up. Man, his car took one helluva hit to tweak the arm like that.
