A cancer sufferer in Alabama, in the United States, was determined to dance with his daughter on her wedding day, despite having to use a wheelchair. He died two weeks after the wedding.

he was crying because even though he didn’t have much time, he managed to make it to the day that showed how great of a dad he was. he did his job and he knew it, and he loved that she was just as happy to spend time with him.

You're not a father obviously. He was crying simply because he was overwhelmed by the realization of his own failure. He always believed one day he would walk his daughter through her wedding, with bells and love and fireworks, now the moment becomes reality and he's not emotionally prepared for the clear distinction between his fantasy and the truth. This sounds callous but it's very accurate.
My dad died 2 years ago. I will never get to dance with him on my wedding. Glad this lady was able to. Shout-out to all the kids here: y'all don't forget to love your parents and show them and tell them that you do. Regardless of how small they are in your immature minds. I hope that you always see the king behind the sheperd boy, when you look at your dads. I know I always didn't and I have so many regrets now that he's gone. Would do anything to dance with my dad again.
What if you have bad parents that don't care
Then find someone who cares, and dance like there is no tomorrow (and im looking around, and tomorrow seems like a unforeseen thing these days)

I lost my father to a car accident. I survived, he didn't. He's the reason I'm a musician and an educator. He's the reason I worked to earn my first 4.0 in university. He's the reason that despite it taking years due to my injuries and brain injury, I finally completed my student teaching, graduated, and now teach K-8. I still have a lot of medical issues both physical and mental. There were days I wish I had gone with him or that he made it instead of me. I almost always burst into tears when I think that he won't physically see me get married. Despite this, I keep pushing myself to get as well as I can, and I tell my partner all about my father. I'm glad she was able to dance with her father, I'd do a lot to get the chance to dance with mine again.
I can’t imagine how difficult that must be.
It’s a crazy, unfair world.
But it will stay that way, and we will lose everything until/when our own times arrive.
Stay strong, toughen yourself, and never let go.
When situations like this happened, there aren't any words to describe this, and I MEAN this...

Yeah ik how it feels but my dad died the same way with car crash, he survived but his back ripps Broke and died in Hospital. I was since a like baby. Losing dad is hard for me actually.

Unfortunately, my dad died when I was 2 years old, I can't touch nor hug him.
My dad was just diagnosed with stage 4 cance, palliative options only.. estimated 11 months to live my bf and I have been talking about getting married so that my dad is able to watch me. This video is truly touching and I hope I get this moment with my dad before he passes

@@mika4444 unfortunately he passed a month before our wedding. We got in engaged end of May and planned for a small wedding July 31st. He passed June 29th. We were going to have just a small ceremony in our backyard but he declined so rapidly and that never happened. My husband did have a chance to ask for his permission before he proposed tho and he was so excited to be there it just wasn't meant to be. We still had a beautiful wedding with our close family. It'll be our 1 year anniversary at the end of the month.

I have no doubt it was hard to share but this is a beautiful example of what it is to live life in it's fullest - even when facing hardships. This brought tears to my eyes and warmth to my heart. As a mother my SECOND greatest fear (and it was a CLOSE second) was that something would happen to me and I wouldn't be around in case my son, who is now an adult with children, ever needed me. I'm sure this father had that on his mind. I'm so sorry she lost her dad but glad he was this important to her. Sounds like a dad EVERYONE should have!

I remember. my daughter Dianne 's wedding....we danced in tears until the music ended....we both remembered her elder sister Faye who passed away before the wedding.....it's with a heavy heart to celebrate when the family is not complete....!

I'm lucky to still have my parents. But this footage reminded me of the fact that I lost 3 of my grandparents in a time span of 2 years.
I miss my grandmother so much, my best friend and the woman who raised me when my parents had to work lots of hours. I hope everyone who lost someone finds inner peace, as it can often be devastating.

I lost my Dad when I was 14, then my Mom in 2013, not a day goes by when I think of them and miss them. Even as a 66 year old man I find myself wanting to ask them advise in my life!! This brought tears to my eyes!! Your Dad must have been a wonderful father !! Rest in Peace Sir!!!

That dad has won. He lived to a point he can be proud of himself. Seeing his kid get married and dance with her at the wedding, it is a very beautiful and an enjoyable moment but it is also painful knowing what will happen to both of them in the future. Life’s cruel sometimes and we loose the ones we love too soon or out of our control so make each day count and be kind to each other as you never know what’s around the corner. This must have been a hard dance under the circumstances but made it worth while for a happy memorable occasion..

But they already said sorry and they said the reason why I get offended too easily was because I sleep late. I think I will take a break from social media for a while because there are a lot of terrible people there saying "nobody asked" and other stuff. I think I just need a few people give me support to take a break from social media and eveything is fine now. :)
