After watching Sons of Anarchy, it's tough to get used to Hunnam's real accent.

yogurtpimp That was me for the longest time until I woke up a few weeks ago with a cold sore. Apparently, my father and grandfather had herpes and I had been exposed to it as a child. Everything I’ve done in my life to avoid getting it was in vain :/
Here's some fun facts for you, though, yogurtpimp:
Up to 80% of the population has the virus that causes "cold sores", however, most of those people might never experience symptoms. Herpes can also only be tested for by taking a swab directly from the lesion, so, unless you suffer a sudden activation like missparklyunicorn, you can't be 100% sure you don't have it after all.
On top of which, even infected people who are asymptomatic are most of the time not contagious, so there's really no point in either fearing infection from healthy-looking strangers, or indeed mentally categorizing people you know to have the virus as some sort of lepers... ¬_¬

A sex education teacher once told us to be careful and chose wisely who you kiss or become intimate with. She said, just think that essentially you are kissing and having relations with every person your girlfriend/boyfriend had that sort of contact with. So even if he has been careful of who he kisses whether it be on his personal life or for a movie he should think about that. Specially in his career where actors and actresses fall in love with everyone they meet on set.

Well his Wiki says he has been living in LA since '99, so you're probably right. But his accent in this video is miles apart from a Geordie one, so I doubt he'd be able to just slip back into it.

In the Byker Grove clip he sounds Geordie, but in the GNS studio he doesn't. He has either lost his accent or he's covering it up for some reason; he defiantly doesn't sound Geordie or even Northern.

Good shout. Shame they aren't in the business of casting from the TV series, however I can totally understand why. They might end up having to cast actors from the show who they feel aren't Hollywood material.
Gustin should have been cast as the Flash again imo, and if they were to ever cast a Green Arrow, it should be Amell. However since Charlie is more 'high profile' he would certainly be suiting for the role.

I absolutely adore Charlie and absolutely love how he doesn’t want to kiss anyone but his GF 🥰 I’m an extreme germaphobe too so I get it!! The only thing I’m confused about, is it’s been common knowledge since the early 2000s that you can’t contract HIV from kissing.. (The only exception would be if they’re not undetectable and have open bleeding sores in the mouth) Or is it really only us in the medical field that know this? I also volunteer at an HIV facility & am an HIV advocate! The medications for this virus have come so far and it’s no longer a death sentence or something that should still have such awful stigma around it. I’ve witnessed so many victories through our patients over the years. They can now take 1 pill a day to keep their viral loads at “undetectable”, which means there are so few of the virus present in the blood that tests can’t detect the virus. As long as they’re undetectable, they can’t even pass HIV through sex, they can have babies without worry of the fetus contracting the virus, and most of them end up living longer, healthier lives than most of us HIV negative people. I’m genuinely curious how up to date society is on this specific topic. Comments and thoughts welcomed! I love educating on this topic. It’s detrimental to know the facts so we can one day completely eradicate this virus.

Its interesting. When Charlie is on a British show he talks his true accent. When he is on an American show its mixed. He is also less tense on British talk shows.

I don't like backwash from other people either, which is what Charlie was referring to in drinking someone else's water or soda or anything after they already drank from it because sometimes their spit goes back into the bottle. That doesn't make him or I strange in any way, there are many people who think along those lines with germs and having good hygiene. I don't think it makes a person a germaphobe in anyway really.
