- Hi guys and girls! In this video, we listen to Medusa's story and watch Marcia painting the Gorgons miniature in 75 mm scale!
Medusa The Gorgon, in Greek mythology, is a female monster, most commonly known as a Gorgo. These creatures were favorite subjects in art, being horrific, yet pungently humorous at the same time. The most famous of the Gorgons was Medusa. A Gorgon head was most feared, as evidenced in the Odyssey, where Odysseus fears a Gorgon head might confront him if he stayed too close to Hades.

I never get tired of watching you paint. So amazing.
Why is medusa black?
Because the artist wanted it to be that way.
Beautiful paintjob as always , compliment to the artist : ) in love with the sculpts you all provide. I have y'all to thank for my phrozen sonic mini 4k. don't ever stop being amazing
Saw this in an ad. Clicked it. Dont regret it.
Haven't printed her yet because I first wanted a printer with much higher resolution. My Longer Orange 4K mono should arrive soon. That should be able to bring out all details of your great scuplt.
This is so relaxing! I am obsessed with Medusa… 💚🐍
this is really beautiful!
Looks awesome!!
Have you heard of the Archaic Gorgon? Her face like Big Mom from One piece, but more Kali and oni looking: Broad and round heads with Snakes-Locks on them (There was Roman Man who Change it into snakes 'as' hair) Fierce-wide eyes, flaring nostrils, Wide mouth with tusks and fangs with Tounge rolling out. One of the eraliest vers show her head as lizard like, with the bulging eyes and the mouth traits.
I love your Channel, great work!! Anda thanks
The ashy knees and elbows realy sold the skin as realistic, raw talent
Thanx for the story.
Beautiful work
My only complain, why doesn’t this have more views?
Gorgeous job well done
Love this
Fantástica pintura Márcia ,
What painting grip is the one used in the video? I really like it
Super wonderfull 👌 !
Is it possible to get the painting toturial for how this miniature was painted?
good model
What music is this?
What colors are used on the snakes? It looks beautiful!!
👌
I tried painting miniatures for the US Army’s WII 761st Tank Battalion and was never able to get the skin tones correct. Congratulations, the painter did an amazing job!
Huzzah. I love her story .
Too much dark skinned for a greek. Good paint job... wrong choice of color.
Love me Dark Skinned Girls so they get a pass
I just see her as a literal God so I didn’t think it mattered unless it was based off a specific portrayal. I’ve seen different skin tones and all for different Gods in different mythologies
Absolutely right. More black washing. Just like black Achilles in the most recent Troy adaption. Or Ariel in the little mermaid. God forbid this was reversed and you depicted an African creature or figure as white or another color. You would be harassed for it.
Makes a change from the white washing of andromeda.
@@Al-USMC-RET it’s sad when people freak out about either or unless race was an important factor in the character. Especially when it comes to fictitious beings /deities
Medusa was a bitch to kill in Assassins Creed Odyssey!
Her skin color is off but the rest is nice
I didn’t want to be the one to say it lol.
Is this statue based off a specific portrayal of Medusa?
3 letters : wow
Who is narrating this? Is it Penny?
Her name is Sarah Nightmare!
I thought it was Penny as well lol
Medusa wasn’t black
Who cares?
She is far too dark. You know she was greek and chose to deliberately change her complication. You are purposely trying to upset people and up root culture.
Why exactly is a Greek figure being portrayed as having dark skin? More black washing. Just like black Achilles in the most recent Troy adaption. Or black Ariel in the little mermaid. God forbid this was reversed and you depicted an African creature or figure as white or another color. You would be harassed for it.
Onside ring her facial features are still europeans she’ll probably look like an Indian rather than an black person lol. Still maybe this is part of her portrail? Maybe her skin was turned dark after the curse I dunno
Well I don't think whites should portray black people either.
@@jacobitewiseman3696 her phenotype didn’t change she’s just a dark skinned wyte woman though… if anything she looks Indian(Dravidian) as Indians are also Caucasoid just darkskinned
