LeBron has stacked superteams over and over. 2011 Heat was LeBron (self proclaimed GOAT), D Wade(3rd greatest SG of all time), Bosh (11x straight perennial allstar). Yet lost to a Mavs who only had 1 allstar, while LeBron himself got outplayed by Jason Terry (a bench player in his mid 30s). Could you imagine Jordan ever getting outplayed by an opposing teams bench player? Wasn't the only time LeBrons team was stacked with 3 allstars and lost to 1 allstar team either. I’m 1 year younger than Lebron which makes me a bit of an old head, but I’m also a lifelong Cavs fan. I’ve actually refused to acknowledge anyone but Mark Price is the GOAT for most my life, but I digress…I was old enough to watch Jordan play, but I was 12 during the last dance, so I was never able to really analyze how good he really was. My first memories began in the 90s, and MJ’s reign over the world started in the 90s, so it’s really weird looking back bc Michael Jordan wasn’t just the best basketball player in the world. MJ was way bigger than that, and to my adolescent brain Michael Jordan was similar to video games. They were both just always there as a part of my everyday life. And I understood, in theory, videos games weren’t always around and Michael Jordan wasn’t always around. But trying to picture it, I might as well been picturing life during the dinosaurs. I say this bc being alive to watch MJ for me and probly most guys around my age, really hasn’t given us much of an advantage in analyzing the GOAT debate, cause we were kids watching MJ. So after Lebron won us that ring in 2016, I remember telling my brother at his bachelor party that Lebron has gotta be better than Jordan now. And considering the only thing we ever hear about Jordan from Skip Bayless and the rest of the a-hole talking heads on the debate shows is “6-0 in the Finals” it’s hard to believe there are any other arguments in favor of Jordan bc, why wouldn’t Skip bring those up? Well, bc those debate shows are absolute trash and almost exactly the same as the political shows. They make sure you’re only gonna know and believe what they want you to know and believe. And one day I decided I wanted to brush up on my Jordan knowledge but more so wanted to watch his highlights. Well, since that day, I’ve probly watched this video and “Jordan’s Ultimate Highlights” well over 100 times. And at 37yrs old I started playing basketball again bc MJ had me feeling it through my veins and into my nutsack. And since that time, I’ve looked up MJ’s stats compared to Lebron and Kobe and most other greats. I’ve looked at their career numbers, their “prime” numbers, I’ve researched their accolades but more importantly the objective accolades aka scoring champ, assist leader, steals leader . Jordan and Lebron both have been the scoring champ. But Jordan won 10, Lebron just once. But we know Lebron’s best attribute is his passing so how many times was he “assist champ” He led the league in assists also once. Well, you would argue “Jordan is a great scorer we all know that! Leading the league doesn’t matter bc Lebron gets alot of assists AND he scores alot AND he gets more rebounds!” Well, Jordan became the best mid range jump shooter of all time so you can’t blame him for not passing as often, he was usually the best option to take a shot. But he still avg 5.5 apg, only 2 less than Lebron, while consistently scoring the most points in the league. Total rebounds go to Lebron, the skill of rebounding goes to Jordan. Why are defensive rebounds 10x more common than offensive rebounds? Bc a HUGE part of rebounding simply comes down to positioning. Defense usually has the better position. And forwards are better positioned than guards. So Lebron, a 6’9” small forward, will naturally have an easier time snagging boards due to his position on the floor and extra height. And he avgs 2 more defensive rebounds per game. Well, what about on offense when the defense usually has the advantage in regards to position. LBJ 1.2 ORBG and MJ 1.6 ORPG. To me, it makes Jordan a slightly better rebounder, but so the sake of argument im willing to call it a wash (Lebron wins D rebounds, Jordan wins O rebounds) So those are the big three stats, but they don’t tell the whole story, far from it. But I have to stop somewhere bc I promise you, the more you dig into Jordan and what he did, the more and more insane it gets. My jaw has dropped so many times just calculating MJ stats I was curious about on basketball reference, and then comparing them to other NBA greats (it’s a great site to get informed not just about MJ, but you can compare seasons, groups of seasons so “primes” of like Kobe vs Lebron, MJ vs Kobe, Steph’s best yr vs Lebron’s best yr etc….) But my thumbs are tired but I really liked your video so I’ll sub and I’m sure I’ll watch and comment more crazy MJ stuff no one on ESPN or FOXSports will ever mention. I've watched basketball since the late 80s and can honestly say that yeah, Bron is top 5 for sure. The simple fact that he's the main person being compared to Jordan should be enough for the "old heads" to realize it. But I still gotta have Jordan on top. What a lot of younger people don't realize is that these "highlight" videos are things you could expect from MJ on a nightly basis. Sure there are some moves more flashy than others. But he is still the most dominant to play.

i grew up watching jordan, so i got to see him and lebron play, im telling you that there is no comparison, jordon played 13 years and accomplished all that he accomplished, lebron has played for way longer and is still chasing, i think lebron will finish his career chasing jordan, hes basically hanging on long enough hoping to be number 1 but in my opinion, if jordan did all he did in 13 years and lebron has to take a full decade longer than that to try to catch up then he cant be the greatest. im not saying that lebron is bad but you can do something for a very long time and still not be the greatest, i guess the real question is, whats wrong lebron finishing his career top 5 in history and accepting that. i dont know why this is even a comparison it should be which team is the greatest, mainly because this is a team sport, or, who impacted the game the most. i highly recommend trying to find full games of jordan and the bulls from the 90's,or any teams, and watch how they played, it was completely different and in my opinion better, more fun basketball to watch.
