Now they can with De Gea playing higher off his line covering more of the space in behind and Maguires pace issues

This season has been great ever since the Liverpool game, apart from the time where we got humbled by City. We're clearly improving and that game against Tottenham was one of the best we've had in the past few years. Ronaldo wasn't a problem, but his fans were creating unrest by crying every time he got benched and now that we don't have to deal with them, the atmosphere's less toxic
I agree with almost everything on this statement. However i think Ronaldo is a part of the problem too. Back when we go to Real Sociedad for the 1st match. We got beaten by them. Yes they got goal because referee give them a penalty by making a bad decision. However Ronaldo also play on that match, he wasted many opportunities. If he was more clinical back then, maybe we already on top spot of the group and doesn't have to fight Barcelona on playoff. Another match. When we face Aston Villa on EPL back then. We also lose. On that match Our playstyle is very different than usual, which usually faster, don't hold the ball for too long but on that game we do the opposite, the tempo is very slow. On that match Ronaldo is our captain. To be fair on that match not only Ronaldo that has to be blamed. Maguire also play on that match and tempo is very low, and also Bruno got banned on that match and the replacement is VDB which i think fail to make an impact. So on that match is fair to say we lose because of him. Yes not only him, but he also the party of it. And i forgot in what match, he (Ronaldo) miss a very very good chance to scored a goal. Even a commentator on that match say this "The old Ronaldo would have score.". But your statement is also correct about his fans. The situation is much more better now without him
Ronaldo will always be a club legend and all of us Man Utd fans still love him, but his fanboys are just unbearable. They need to accept that he isn't the player he was 4 years ago but ah well their problem.

I think it's too early to think about challenging for the PL. Maybe next season. If United can win a cup and finish in top 4, I'd consider it as a good season.

needed CDM for years since Carrick retired. Kept on buying useless players. Sold Ronaldo in 2009 and still hadn't replaced him at RW until Sancho. That's That's 11 years without proper replacement. Now again, sold Lukaku, there has been no replacement yet for 4 years.
Other teams replace as soon as they sell. United never do it. Now we have a proper world class CDM, and the manager is great. He knows we need a ST. Even before the season started, we needed a ST.
